[Machine] "I was under the authority of a woman whom I loved, but 'Umar disliked her. He commanded me to divorce her, but I refused. So, I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Abdullah ibn 'Umar has a wife whom I hate, and I commanded him to divorce her, but he refused.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'O Abdullah, divorce your wife.' So, I divorced her."  

أحمد:٥٠١١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ امْرَأَةً كَرِهْتُهَا لَهُ فَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَى فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ طَلِّقِ امْرَأَتَكَ فَطَلَّقْتُهَا

كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا وَكَانَ أَبِي يَكْرَهُهَا فَأَمَرَنِي أَبِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ طَلِّقِ امْرَأَتَكَ

[Machine] There was a woman under my authority, whose age I disliked, so my father told me to divorce her. I refused, but then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and informed him about it. He called me and said, "Abdullah, divorce your wife." So I divorced her.  

أحمد:٦٤٧٠ – قَالَ [عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي الْخَيَّاطَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ كَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَقَالَ لِي أَبِي طَلِّقْهَا قُلْتُ لَا فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَدَعَانِي فَقَالَ عَبْدَ اللهِ طَلِّقِ امْرَأَتَكَ قَالَ فَطَلَّقْتُهَا

[Machine] "There was a woman whom I admired and Umar disliked her, so he told me to divorce her, but I refused. Umar then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Abdullah bin Umar has a woman whom he has grown to dislike, and I ordered him to divorce her, but he refused.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'O Abdullah bin Umar, divorce your wife and obey your father.' So, I divorced her."  

الحاكم:٧٢٥٣ – أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ تُعْجِبُنِي وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَقَالَ لِي طَلِّقْهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَأَتَى عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ امْرَأَةً قَدْ كَرِهْتُهَا فَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَى فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ طَلِّقِ امْرَأَتَكَ وَأَطِعْ أَبَاكَ» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَطَلَّقْتُهَا  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم

A woman was my wife and I loved her, but Umar hated her. He said to me: Divorce her, but I refused. Umar then went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. The Prophet ﷺ said: Divorce her. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5138)   

الحاكم:٢٧٩٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ الْحَافِظُ بِهَمْدَانَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ طَلِّقْهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَطِعْ أَبَاكَ وَطَلِّقْهَا» فَطَلَّقْتُهَا  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ خَالُ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ قَدِ احْتَجَّا جَمِيعًا بِهِ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم
