ahmad:4595 – Sufyān > Ayyūb b. Mūsá

[Machine] I performed Umrah, and if I were detained, I would do as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did. So, I performed Umrah. Then, when he had traveled a little distance in the desert, he said, "The way to Umrah is the same as the way to Hajj. I will therefore perform Hajj." He then turned to the people and said, "Bear witness that I have made Hajj obligatory upon myself." Indeed, the way to Hajj is the same as the way to Umrah. He then arrived in Makkah and made Tawaf around the Kaaba seven times, and between Safa and Marwa seven times, and said, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing." Then, he went to Qudayd and bought a sacrificial animal and took it with him.  

أحمد:٤٥٩٥ – حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ خَرَجَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُرِيدُ الْعُمْرَةَ فَأَخْبَرُوهُ أَنَّ بِمَكَّةَ أَمْرًا فَقَالَ

أُهِلُّ بِالْعُمْرَةِ فَإِنْ حُبِسْتُ صَنَعْتُ كَمَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَهَلَّ بِالْعُمْرَةِ فَلَمَّا سَارَ قَلِيلًا وَهُوَ بِالْبَيْدَاءِ قَالَ مَا سَبِيلُ الْعُمْرَةِ إِلَّا سَبِيلُ الْحَجِّ أُوجِبُ حَجًّا وَقَالَ أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ حَجًّا فَإِنَّ سَبِيلَ الْحَجِّ سَبِيلُ الْعُمْرَةِ فَقَدِمَ مَكَّةَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ سَبْعًا وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ أَتَى قُدَيْدًا فَاشْتَرَى هَدْيًا فَسَاقَهُ مَعَهُ

"Abdullah bin Umar went out and he came to Dhul-Hulaifah he entered Ihram for Umrah. Then he traveled a short distance. Then he was afraid that he might be prevented from reaching the House. He said: 'If I am prevented I will do what the Messenger of Allah did.' He said: 'By Allah, Hajj is jut like Umrah; I ask you to bear witness that I have resolved to do Hajj with my Umrah.' He traveled on until he reached Qudaid, where he bought a Hadi. Then he came to Makkah, and circumambulated the House seven times, and performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah and said: 'This is what I saw the Messenger of Allah doing.'"  

النسائي:٢٩٣٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ وَأَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ فَلَمَّا أَتَى ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ أَهَلَّ بِالْعُمْرَةِ فَسَارَ قَلِيلاً فَخَشِيَ أَنْ يُصَدَّ عَنِ الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ
