When we reached a hill, they said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , 'Mount, O Messenger of Allah, so that we can walk in your place.' He responded, 'Are you both stronger in walking than me? And I am not in need of reward more than you both.'
كُنَّا فِي غَزْوَةِ بَدْرٍ كُلُّ ثَلَاثَةٍمِنَّا عَلَى بَعِيرٍ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ وَأَبُو لُبَابَةَ زَمِيلَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا كَانَ عُقْبَةُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَا ارْكَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ حَتَّى نَمْشِيَ عَنْكَ فَيَقُولُ مَا أَنْتُمَا بِأَقْوَى عَلَى الْمَشْيِ مِنِّي وَمَا أَنَا بِأَغْنَى عَنِ الْأَجْرِ مِنْكُمَا
