ahmad:27459 – Yūnus b. Muḥammad > Layth b. Saʿd > Yazīd b. Abū Ḥabīb > Abū al-Naḍr > Khārijah b. Zayd from his mother > In ʿUthmān b. Maẓʿūn Lammā Qubiḍ

[Machine] When he passed away, Umm Khārijah bint Zayd said, "May you be well, Abū al-Sā'ib, the best of your days is goodness." The Prophet of Allah ﷺ heard her and said, "Who is this?" She replied, "It is I." The Prophet ﷺ then asked, "And how do you know?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, it was ‘Uthmān ibn Maẓ‘ūn." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, ‘Uthmān ibn Maẓ‘ūn, we have seen nothing but good from him. And here I am, the Messenger of Allah, and by Allah, I do not know what will happen to me."  

أحمد:٢٧٤٥٩ – حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ

لَمَّا قُبِضَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ خَارِجَةَ بِنْتُ زَيْدٍ طِبْتَ أَبَا السَّائِبِ خَيْرُ أَيَّامِكَ الْخَيْرُ فَسَمِعَهَا نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذِهِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا قَالَ ﷺ وَمَا يُدْرِيكِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَجَلْ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ مَا رَأَيْنَا إِلَّا خَيْرًا وَهَذَا أَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ وَاللهِ مَا أَدْرِي مَا يُصْنَعُ بِي

[Machine] When he was buried, Umm Al-Ala said, "May you have peace, Abu As-Saib, in Paradise." The Prophet of Allah ﷺ heard her and asked, "Who is this?" She replied, "It is I, O Prophet of Allah." He asked, "How do you know?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is Uthman ibn Maz'un." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Uthman ibn Maz'un—we have only seen good from him. Yet here I am, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and by Allah, I do not know what will happen to me."  

ابن حبّان:٦٤٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ بِبَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ أَبَا النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ

لَمَّا قُبِرَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ الْعَلَاءِ طِبْتَ أَبَا السَّائِبِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَسَمِعَهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ فقَالَ «مَنْ هَذِهِ»؟ فَقَالَتْ أَنَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ «وَمَا يُدْرِيكِ»؟ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَجَلْ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ مَا رَأَيْنَاهُ إِلَّا خَيْرًا وَهَا أَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْرِي مَا يُصْنَعُ بِي»

الطبراني:٤٨٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ لَمَّا قُبِرَ قَالَتْ
