[Machine] A woman went out to pray when she was approached by a man who tempted her with his clothes. He fulfilled his lust with her and then left. Another man came to her and she told him what the previous man had done. The man went in search of him. Then, a group of Ansar (supporters) approached her and she told them what had happened. They also went to search for the man. They found the man who had gone in search of the first man and brought him to the Prophet ﷺ. She identified him as the perpetrator. The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to be stoned. The man who had been approached by the Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am the one who did it, I swear by Allah." The Prophet ﷺ told the woman to go, as Allah had forgiven her, and he told the man kind words. It was said, "O Prophet of Allah, shouldn't you stone him?" He replied, "He has sincerely repented, if only the people of Madinah would repent like he did, it would be accepted from them."

When a woman went out in the time of the Prophet ﷺ for prayer, a man attacked her and overpowered (raped) her. She shouted and he went off, and when a man came by, she said: That (man) did such and such to me. And when a company of the Emigrants came by, she said: That man did such and such to me. They went and seized the man whom they thought had had intercourse with her and brought him to her. She said: Yes, this is he. Then they brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he (the Prophet) was about to pass sentence, the man who (actually) had assaulted her stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, I am the man who did it to her. He (the Prophet) said to her: Go away, for Allah has forgiven you. But he told the man some good words (AbuDawud said: meaning the man who was seized), and of the man who had had intercourse with her, he said: Stone him to death. He also said: He has repented to such an extent that if the people of Medina had repented similarly, it would have been accepted from them. Abu Dawud said: Asbat bin Nasr has also transmitted it from Simak.

From his father: "A women went out during the time of the Prophet ﷺ to go to Salat, but she was caught by a man and he had relations with her, so she screamed and he left. Then a man came across her and she said: 'That man has done this and that to me', then she came across a group of Emigrants (Muhajirin) and she said: 'That man did this and that to me.' They went to get the man she thought had relations with her, and they brought him to her. She said: 'Yes, that's him.' So they brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and when he ordered that he be stoned, the man who had relations with her, said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I am the one who had relations with her.' So he said to her: 'Go, for Allah has forgiven you.' Then he said some nice words to the man (who was brought). And he said to the man who had relations with her: 'Stone him.' Then he said: 'He has repented a repentance that, if the inhabitants of Al-Madinah had repented with, it would have been accepted from them.'"

[Machine] A woman went out during the time of the Prophet ﷺ to perform the prayer. A man met her and fulfilled his needs with her. She yelled and he left. Another man passed by her and she said, "That man did such and such to me. Catch him!" They apprehended the man she accused. She confirmed, "Yes, he is the one." They brought him to the Prophet ﷺ, and when he commanded that the man be stoned, the man's companion stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am his companion. Please let me speak." The Prophet ﷺ granted him permission. He said good words, and they asked him about the man who was accused. He said, "He has made repentance that if the people of Madinah made it, it would be accepted from them."
