[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him. And whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him." Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, is it because one hates death?" He replied, "No, it is not that. But when a believing servant’s soul is taken by Allah, Allah eases for him what is before his death from His reward and blessings, so he dies while he loves to meet Allah and Allah loves to meet him. As for the disbeliever and the hypocrite, when Allah decrees their death, Allah increases their suffering and humiliation, so they die while hating to meet Allah and Allah hates to meet them."

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Who-ever loves to meet Allah, Allah (too) loves to meet him and who-ever hates to meet Allah, Allah (too) hates to meet him".

ʿAisha, or some of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ said, "But we dislike death." He said: It is not like this, but it is meant that when the time of the death of a believer approaches, he receives the good news of Allah's pleasure with him and His blessings upon him, and so at that time nothing is dearer to him than what is in front of him. He therefore loves the meeting with Allah, and Allah (too) loves the meeting with him. But when the time of the death of a disbeliever approaches, he receives the evil news of Allah's torment and His Requital, whereupon nothing is more hateful to him than what is before him. Therefore, he hates the meeting with Allah, and Allah too, hates the meeting with him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6507)

He who loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah abhors to meet him. I ('A'isha) said: Allah's Apostle, so far as the feeling of aversion against death is concerned, we all have this feeling. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: It is not that (which you construe), but (this) that when a believer (at the time of death) is given the glad tidings of the mercy of Allah, His Pleasure, and of Paradise, he loves to meet Allah, and Allah also loves to meet him, and when an unbeliever is given the news of the torment at the Hand of Allah, and Hardship to be imposed by Him, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah also abhors to meet him.
