[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to inform him about the prayer, but he intended to fast, so he drank and then appointed me and went out to perform the prayer.  

أحمد:٢٣٨٩٥حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنِ أبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ بِلَالٍ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُوذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي وَخَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ

[Machine] I went to the messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him permission to pray. Abu Ahmed (one of the narrators) said, and he meant to ask permission for fasting. So he called for a cup, drank from it, offered me a drink, and then went out to the mosque to pray without performing ablution, intending to fast.  

أحمد:٢٣٨٨٩حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ بِلَالٍ قَالَ

الطبراني:١٠٨٢حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصُّوفِيُّ ثنا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةُ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ بِلَالٍ قَالَ

«أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُوذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي فَشَرِبْتُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى بِنَا»
