[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the battle of Hunayn. We set out on a scorching hot day and took shelter under the shade of trees. When the sun set, I put on my clothes and mounted my horse. I then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was in his tent, and greeted him saying, "Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah, and the mercy of Allah. Isn't it time to rest?" He replied, "Yes." Then he said, "O Bilal!" So Bilal stood up as if his shadow was the shadow of a bird. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Answer and be rewarded. Saddle my horse for me." Bilal quickly brought out a saddle that had no faults or shortcomings. The Prophet ﷺ mounted the horse and I rode alongside him. We rode throughout the night and the following day. The horses started to exhaust as the Muslims turned back, just as Allah had mentioned in the Quran. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then called out, "O slaves of Allah! I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger." Then he said, "O the migrants! I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then dismounted from his horse and took a handful of soil, threw it towards the enemy and said, "May the faces be disgraced!" Then Allah defeated them. Ya'la ibn 'Ata narrated: His children told him that they all had dust in their eyes and mouths, and they heard a sound like iron being rubbed against iron between the sky and the earth.

[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Battle of Hunayn, and we marched on a scorching hot day. We descended under the shade of the trees, and when the sun set, I put on my clothes and mounted my horse and set off towards the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who was in Fusqtan. I greeted him and said, "Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. The rows have aligned, haven't they?" He replied, "Yes." Then he said, "O Bilal!" So Bilal came out from beneath a tree and it seemed as though his shadow was the shadow of a bird. He said, "Here I am, at your service." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Bilal, saddle my horse for me." So he brought out a saddle with two leather flaps, and there was no defect or patch on them. He saddled the horse and mounted it, and we rode them during our evening and night. The two horses snorted and the Muslims turned back, as Allah had said. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger," then he urged his horse forward and took a handful of dust and threw it at the polytheists, and I was told by the one who was closest to me that he struck their faces with it and said, "May their faces be humiliated, Allah has defeated them." Ya'la bin 'Ata narrated that his sons told him that their fathers said, "None of us remained except that our eyes and mouths were filled with dust, and we heard the sound like iron on a grindstone from the heavens and the earth." The wording is narrated by 'Affan.
