[Machine] Hamad ibn Salama said, "There is a she-camel owned by a man." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to seek advice from him. Jabir ibn Samura claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the owner of the she-camel, "Don't you have anything that would suffice you instead of her?" He replied, "No." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Go and eat it." Abu Abdullah Al-Sawab said, "A correct narration mentions a she-camel."  

أحمد:٢٠٨٢٤حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ مَاتَ بَغْلٌ

وَقَالَ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ نَاقَةٌ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ فَزَعَمَ جَابِرُ بْنُسَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهَا أَمَا لَكَ مَا يُغْنِيكَ عَنْهَا؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَكُلْهَا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّوَابُ نَاقَةٌ

[Machine] A man's (female) camel died, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking his advice. Jabir ibn Samurah claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the owner of the camel, "What do you have that can make up for it?" He replied, "Nothing." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Go and eat it."  

أحمد:٢٠٩١٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

مَاتَ بَغْلٌ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ قَالَ فَزَعَمَ جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهَا مَا لَكَ مَا يُغْنِيكَ عَنْهَا؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَكُلْهَا

[Machine] A mule died in front of a man, so he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seeking his advice. Jabir reported from Samurah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the owner of the mule, "Don't you have anything that can compensate you for it?" He replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then go and eat it." This narration is recorded in Sahih Muslim without any alteration.

مَاتَتْ بَغْلٌ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ فَزَعَمَ جَابِرٌ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهَا «أَمَا لَكَ مَا يُغْنِيكَ عَنْهَا؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «اذْهَبْ فَكُلْهَا» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط مسلم

الطبراني:١٩٧٧حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

البيهقي:١٩٦٣٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْأَزْرَقُ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ؓ قَالَ مَاتَ بَغْلٌ أَوْ قَالَ
