ahmad:19771ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAbd al-Wārith > Mahdī b. Maymūn > Jābir Abū al-Wāziʿ > Abū Barzah

[Machine] I heard Abu Barzah say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a man to a neighborhood of the Arab tribes, and they hit him and insulted him. So he returned to the Prophet ﷺ and complained to him about it. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "If you had come to the people of Oman, they would neither have hit you nor insulted you."  

أحمد:١٩٧٧١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرٌ أَبُو الْوَازِعِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ يَقُولُ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ فَضَرَبُوهُ وَسَبُّوهُ فَرَجَعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَشَكَا ذَاكَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَوْ أَهْلَ عُمَانَ أَتَيْتَ مَا ضَرَبُوكَ وَلَا سَبُّوكَ

[Machine] Abu Al-Wazi' narrated that a man from the Banu Rasib said, "I heard Abu Barzah say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a messenger to a tribe from the tribes of the Arabs regarding something that the guide did not know. So they insulted him and beat him. He complained about that to the Prophet ﷺ , and he said, 'If you were from the people of Oman, they would not have insulted you or beaten you.'"  

أحمد:١٩٧٩٨حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَازِعِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي رَاسِبٍ قَالَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَسُولًا إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ فِي شَيْءٍ لَا يَدْرِي مَهْدِيٌّ مَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ فَسَبُّوهُ وَضَرَبُوهُ فَشَكَا ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَوْ أَنَّكَ أَهْلَ عُمَانَ أَتَيْتَ مَا سَبُّوكَ وَلَا ضَرَبُوكَ  

ذِكْرُ شَهَادَةِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ لِأَهْلِ عُمَانَ بِالسَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ لَهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a man to a tribe among the Arab tribes for something that I don't know what he said. They insulted him and beat him, so he returned to the Prophet ﷺ and complained to him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "But if my messenger had gone to the people of Oman, they would not have insulted him or beaten him."  

ابن حبّان:٧٣١٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَازِعِ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ

بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ فِي شَيْءٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا قَالَ فَسَبُّوهُ وَضَرَبُوهُ فَرَجَعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «لَكِنْ أَهْلُ عُمَانَ لَوْ أَتَاهُمْ رَسُولِي مَا سَبُّوهُ وَلَا ضَرَبُوهُ»
