[Machine] I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his socks once. This hadith amazed the Companions of Abdullah who said, "Indeed, his Islam occurred after the descent of the tablespread."

أحمد:١٩٢٠١ – حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مِطْهَرَةٍ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقَالُوا أَتَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْكَ؟ فَقَالَ

إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَكَانَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ يُعْجِبُ أَصْحَابَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ إِسْلَامُهُ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ
