[Machine] A group of people from the Bedouin Arab tribe came to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while they were seeking the spoils of war. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urged the people to give charity, but they hesitated until it could be seen on his face. Then a man from the Ansar (helpers of the Prophet) brought a piece of silver and threw it, and the people followed suit until it was known on his face. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever starts a good practice and is followed by others, will receive the reward of it and the equivalent reward of those who follow it, without any decrease in their own rewards. And whoever starts an evil practice and is followed by others, will carry the burden of it and the burden of those who follow it, without any decrease in their own burdens."

He who introduced some good practice in Islam which was followed after him (by people) he would be assured of reward like one who followed it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who introduced some evil practice in Islam which had been followed subsequently (by others), he would be required to bear the burden like that of one who followed this (evil practice) without their's being diminished in any respect.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and urged us to give charity. The people seemed reluctant, until anger was seen on his face. He said it a few more times, until a man from the Ansar came with a pile of goods and gave it as charity. Then people followed suit and started giving until happiness was seen on his face.
