[Machine] I heard Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani saying: "We used to sit in the mosque reciting the Quran, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered and greeted us, and we returned the greeting. Then he said, 'Learn the Book of Allah and acquire it.' Qubaith said, 'I thought he meant that we should memorize it.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'And sing it, for I swear by the one in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, it is more pleasing to me than the sound of childbirth is to the ear.'"  

أحمد:١٧٣٦١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا قَبَاثُ بْنُ رَزِينٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ اللَّخْمِيَّ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يَقُولُ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ نَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا فَرَدَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ ثُمَّ قَالَ تَعَلَّمُوا كِتَابَ اللهِ وَاقْتَنُوهُ قَالَ قُبَاثٌ وَحَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ وَتَغَنُّوا بِهِ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَلُّتًا مِنَ الْمَخَاضِ مِنَ الْعُقُلِ

الكبرى للنسائي:٧٩٨١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُبَاثُ بْنُ رَزِينٍ أَبُو هَاشِمٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ اللَّخْمِيَّ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يَقُولُ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ نَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَلَّمَ فَرَدَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ فَقَالَ «تَعَلَّمُوا كِتَابَ اللهِ وَاقْتَنُوهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَلُّتًا مِنَ الْعِشَارِ فِي الْعُقُلِ»
