[Machine] "And the scholars used to say that when it is recited near the deceased, its punishment is lessened. Safwan said that Isa bin Mutaamir recited it near Ibn Ma'bad."  

أحمد:١٦٩٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنِي الْمَشْيَخَةُ أَنَّهُمْ حَضَرُوا غُضَيْفَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الثُّمَالِيَّ حِينَ اشْتَدَّ سَوْقُهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ يَقْرَأُ يس؟ قَالَ فَقَرَأَهَا صَالِحُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ السَّكُونِيُّ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنْهَا قُبِضَ قَالَ

وَكَانَ الْمَشْيَخَةُ يَقُولُونَ إِذَا قُرِئَتْ عِنْدَ الْمَيِّتِ خُفِّفَ عَنْهُبِهَا قَالَ صَفْوَانُ وَقَرَأَهَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ عِنْدَ ابْنِ مَعْبَدٍ
