[Machine] He told him that he heard Muawiya on the pulpit in Mecca saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing gold and silk.  

أحمد:١٦٩٣٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْعَدَوِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ

أخْبَرَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ بِمَكَّةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْحَرِيرِ
