“Ubayy bin Ka’b fell sick, and the Prophet ﷺ sent a doctor to him who cauterized him on his medical arm vein.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3493)  

أحمد:١٤٩٨٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

مَرِضَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مَرَضًا فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ طَبِيبًا فَكَوَاهُ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ

مَرِضَ أُبَىُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مَرَضًا فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ طَبِيبًا فَكَوَاهُ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ

[Machine] Ubayy ibn Ka'b fell ill, so the Prophet ﷺ sent a doctor to him who applied medicine on his eye.  

البيهقي:١٩٥٤٩ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ قَالَ
