Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in Whose Hand my soul is, you will not enter Paradise until you submit to Islam. And, you will not submit to Islam until you love one another. Extend the greeting to one another and you will love one another. Beware of hatred, for it is the razor. I do not tell you that it shaves the hair, but it shaves away the deen."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُسْلِمُوا وَلاَ تُسْلِمُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا وَأَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ تَحَابُّوا وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْبُغْضَةَ فَإِنَّهَا هِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ لاَ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ تَحْلِقُ الشَّعْرَ وَلَكِنْ تَحْلِقُ الدِّينَ

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessing be upon him) observed: You shall not enter Paradise so long as you do not affirm belief (in all those things which are the articles of faith) and you will not believe as long as you do not love one another. Should I not direct you to a thing which, if you do, will foster love amongst you: (i. e.) give currency to (the practice of paying salutation to one another by saying) as-salamu alaikum.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَوَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَىْءٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ

By him in whose hand my soul is, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another: should I not guide you to something doing which you will love one another: spread out salutation among you.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَفَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَمْرٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ

that the Prophet ﷺ, "The disease of the nations before you is creeping towards you: Envy and hatred ˹growing among you˺, it is the haliqah (razor). I'm not speaking of what shaves the hair, rather what severs the religion.

By the One in Whose Hand is my soul (Allah), you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love each other. Shall I tell you about what will strengthen that ˹love˺ between you? Spread ˹the greeting of˺ salam among each other."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «دَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ دَاءُ الأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمُ: الْحَسَدُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ، هِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ! لاَ أَقُولُ تَحْلِقُ الشَّعْرَ، وَلَكِنْ تَحْلِقُ الدِّينَ۔»

«وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا، وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا۔ أَفَلاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا يُثَبِّتُ ذَاكُمْ لَكُمْ؟ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ۔»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'By the One in whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not (truly) believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greetings of Salam amongst yourselves.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَوَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَىْءٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ

رَسُولُ اللَّهُ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَوَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَىْءٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There has come to you the disease of the nations before you, jealousy and hatred. Hatred is the ʿshaverʿ (destroyer) that shaves (destroys) religious commitment; it does not shave hair. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread (the greeting of) salam amongst yourselves.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ دَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ دَاءُ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمُ الْبَغْضَاءُ وَالْحَسَدُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ وَهِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ لَيْسَ حَالِقَةَ الشَّعْرِ لَكِنْ حَالِقَةَ الدِّينِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَفَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ أَظُنُّهُ بِمَا يَثْبُتُ لَكُمْ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ خَالَفَ مُوسَى بْنَ خَلَفٍ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ هِشَامٌ صَاحِبُ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ فَرَوَاهُ هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ يَعِيشَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ مَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَقَالَ مُوسَى عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ يَعِيشَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَهِشَامٌ أَحْفَظُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ؟ إِفْشَاءُ السَّلَامِ بَيْنَكُمْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The disease of nations before you was envy and hatred. They are the shavers, shavers of religion, not shavers of hair. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not inform you of something that if you do it, you will love one another? Spread peace among yourselves." It was narrated from Sulayman At-Taymi, from Yahya, from Ya'ish, from Maula of Az-Zubair, from Az-Zubair that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, Abu Ali Ar-Rudhbary informed us, Isma'il As-Saffar narrated to us, Muhammad Ibn Ghaleb narrated to us, Ubaid Ibn Ubaidah narrated to us, from Mu'tamir Ibn Sulayman, from his father, who mentioned it in its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ دَاءُ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ الْحَسَدُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ هِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ حَالِقَةُ الدِّينِ لَا حَالِقَةُ الشَّعْرِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا أَفَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ؟ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ 21066 وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ يَعِيشَ عَنْ مَوْلًى لِلزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ

"دبَّ إِليكُم داءُ الأُممِ قَبْلكُمْ: الحسدُ، والبغضاءُ، والبغضاءُ: هى الحالِقَة -حَالقةُ الدين لَا حَالقةُ الشَّعْرِ- والذى نفسُ محمدٍ بيده، لا تدخلوا الجنة حتى تؤْمنوا، ولا تؤْمنوا حتى تحابُّوا، أَفلا أُنبئكم بشئٍ إِذا فعلتموه تَحابَبْتُمْ: أَفْشُوا السلامَ بينكم".

"وَالَّذِي نَفْسى بيَده لا تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا، أَوَ لا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَيء إِذَا فَعَلتُمُوهَ تَحَابَبْتُمْ؟ أَفْشُوا السَّلام بَينَكُمْ".
