[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite this verse: "And you do not will except that Allah wills - Allah is the possessor of piety and forgiveness" [Al-Muddathir 56]. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Your Lord says: I am capable of being feared, that I should not be made to have another god with me. And whoever fears that I will make him have another god with me, then he is worthy of my forgiveness."

أحمد:١٣٣٤٩ – حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ أَخُو حَزْمِ بْنِ أَبِي حَزْمٍ الْقُطَعِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللهُ} {هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ} [المدثر 56] فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ رَبُّكُمْ أَنَا أَهْلٌ أَنْ أُتَّقَى أَنْ يُجْعَلَ مَعِي إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَمَنْ اتَّقَى أَنْ يَجْعَلَ مَعِي إِلَهًا آخَرَ فَهُوَ أَهْلٌ لِأَنْ أَغْفِرَ لَهُ

The Messenger of Allah said regarding this Ayah: “He is the One deserving of the Taqwa, and He is the One Who forgives. – he said: ‘Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, said: “I am the most worthy to have Taqwa of, so whoever has Taqwa of Me, not having any god besides Me, then I am most worthy that I forgive him.”

الترمذي:٣٣٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقُطَعِيُّ وَهُوَ أَخُو حَزْمِ بْنِ أَبِي حَزْمٍ الْقُطَعِيِّ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ ( هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ ) قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ أَنَا أَهْلٌ أَنْ أُتَّقَى فَمَنْ اتَّقَانِي فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ مَعِي إِلَهًا فَأَنَا أَهْلٌ أَنْ أَغْفِرَ لَهُ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَسُهَيْلٌ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ تَفَرَّدَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ

ahmad:12442 – Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb > Suhayl Akhū Ḥazm > Thābit al-Bunānī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this verse: "The people of piety and the people of forgiveness" [Surah Al-Muddathir 56]. He said, "Your Lord says, 'I am deserving to be feared, so do not associate any deity with Me. Whoever fears to associate any deity with Me, he is deserving for Me to forgive him."

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite, "And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. He admits whom He wills into His mercy."[Quran 2:105] He said, "Your Lord says, 'I am worthy of being feared, that I should have another deity with Me, while I am worthy of being worshipped by those who fear Me, that I should have another deity with them, that I should forgive him.'"

الحاكم:٣٨٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثنا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي حَزْمٍ ثنا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ {وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ} قَالَ يَقُولُ رَبُّكُمْ ﷻ أَنَا أَهْلٌ أَنْ أُتَّقَى أَنْ يَجْعَلَ مَعِي إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَأَنَا أَهْلٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى أَنْ يَجْعَلَ مَعِي إِلَهًا آخَرَ أَنْ أَغْفِرَ لَهُ

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ} [المدثر: 56]

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said regarding His saying, "He is the possessor of piety and forgiveness" [Al-Muddathir 56]: He (Allah) says, "Your Lord says, 'I am the most deserving of being feared, that a partner should be made with Me, and whoever fears that a partner should be made with Me, then I am the most deserving of forgiving him.'"

الكبرى للنسائي:١١٥٦٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنِ الْمُعَافَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ عِمْرَانَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَزْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
