There would be amongst your caliphs a caliph who would give handfuls of wealth to the people, but would not count it. In the narration transmitted on the authority of Ibn Hujr, there is a slight variation of wording. (Using translation from Muslim 2914)   

أحمد:١١٥٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْخُلَفَائِكُمْ خَلِيفَةٌ يَحْثِي الْمَالَ حَثْيًا لَا يَعُدُّهُ عَدًّا
