[Machine] "He doubted Uthman."  

أَنَّهُ شَكَّ فِي عُثْمَانَ  

I observed prayer along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and with Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with all of them), but I never heard any one of them reciting Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim loudly. (Using translation from Muslim 399a)  

صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ يَقُولُ {بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة 1]  

[Machine] Qatadah asked Anas ibn Malik, "With what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ initiate the recitation?" Anas replied, "Verily, you are asking me about something that no one has asked me about before."  

قَتَادَةُ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يَسْتَفْتِحُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْقِرَاءَةَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَتَسْأَلُنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ مَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ أَحَدٌ  

[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "The Prophet ﷺ loved meat of the foreleg. So, we would bring him meat or invite him (for a meal) knowing that he liked it." Anas added, "I used to follow him to put the meat in front of him because I knew that he liked it."  

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُحِبُّ الدُّبَّاءَ قَالَ فَأُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ أَوْ دُعِيَ لَهُ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَتَبَّعُهُ فَأَضَعُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ لِمَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ  

[Machine] "Narrated by Anas, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Complete your bowing and prostration, and I swear by Allah, I will continue to observe you even after my departure, and perhaps even after my death, when you perform the ruku' and sujud.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَوَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتِمُّوا الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ فَوَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَرَاكُمْ بَعْدِي وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ظَهْرِي إِذَا رَكَعْتُمْ وَسَجَدْتُمْ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Observe moderation in prostration, and let none of you stretch out his forearms (on the ground) like a dog. (Using translation from Muslim 493a)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ اعْتَدِلُوا فِي السُّجُودِ وَلَا يَبْسُطْ أَحَدُكُمْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ انْبِسَاطَ الْكَلْبِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Be moderate in your prayer, and do not spread out your arms like the spreading of a dog." This is what Yazid said, "Be moderate in your prayer."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ اعْتَدِلُوا فِيالصَّلَاةِ وَلَا يَبْسُطْ أَحَدُكُمْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ كَانْبِسَاطِ الْكَلْبِ هَكَذَا قَالَ يَزِيدُ اعْتَدِلُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Be moderate in your prostration and remember Him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اعْتَدِلُوا فِي السُّجُودِ فَذَكَرَهُ  

Straighten your rows for the straightening of the rows is part of perfecting the prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 668)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ فَإِنَّ تَسْوِيَةَ الصُّفُوفِ مِنْ تَمَامِ الصَّلَاةِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Arrange your rows (in prayer) properly, for indeed, part of perfecting the prayer is the proper arrangement of the rows."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ فَإِنَّ مِنْ حُسْنِ الصَّلَاةِ إِقَامَةَ الصَّفِّ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Complete your rows, for the straightening of the rows means the completion of the prayer."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَتِمُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ فَإِنَّ تَسْوِيَةَ الصَّفِّ يَعْنِي مِنْ تَمَامِ الصَّلَاةِ  

[Machine] That Abdulrahman ibn Awf married a woman with a dowry of the weight of a date-seed in gold, and it was accepted.  

أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَجَازَ ذَلِكَ  

[Machine] Abdul Rahman ibn Auf married a woman who weighed the equivalent of a date stone in gold.  

أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلىَ وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ  

[Machine] And the judge would take this into account.  

وَكَانَ الْحَكَمُ يَأْخُذُ بِهَذَا  

"There was a cause of fright in Al-Madinah. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ borrowed a horse of ours called Mandub. He said: 'I have not seen anything to be frightened of, and we found him to be (quick) like the sea.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1686)  

كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَعَارَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَسًا لَنَا يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْدُوبٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is its burial."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْبُزَاقَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا  

[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik say: There was a panic in Medina, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ borrowed a horse for Abu Talha. He mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Muhammad ibn Ja'far.  

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَعَارَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَسًا لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ  

I and the Last Hour have been sent like this. Shu'ba said: I heard Qatada as saying in his narration: The excellence of one over the other. And I do not know whether he narrated it from Anas or Qatada himself said so. (Using translation from Muslim 2951a)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بُعِثْتُ أَنَاوَالسَّاعَةُ كَهَاتَيْنِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ يَعْنِي أُصْبُعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةَ وَالْوُسْطَى قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَسَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يَقُولُ فِي قَصَصِهِ كَفَضْلِ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى الْأُخْرَى فَلَا أَدْرِي أَذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَمْ قَالَهُ قَتَادَةُ  

the Messenger of Allah saw a man driving a Badanah and said: "Ride it." He said: "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it." He said: "It is a Badanah." The fourth time he said: Ride it, woe to you!" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2800)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ  

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3103)   

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ  

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his child, his father and all the people.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 67)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْحَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَوَالِدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ  

“There are three things, whoever has them has found the taste of faith (One of the narrators) Bundar said: ‘The sweetness of faith; When he loves a man and only loves him for the sake of Allah. When Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else; and when being thrown into the fire is dearer to him than going back to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4033)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ طَعْمَ الْإِيمَانِ مَنْ كَانَ يُحِبُّ الْمَرْءَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا وَمَنْ كَانَ أَنْ يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فِي الْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْقَذَهُ اللهُ مِنْهُ  

Is there someone alien among you? They said: No, but only the son of our sister. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The son of the sister of the people is included among the tribe, and (farther) said: The Quraish have recently abandoned Jahillyya and have just been delivered from distress; I, therefore, intend to help them and conciliate them. Don't you feel happy that the people should return with worldly riches and you return with the Messenger of Allah to your houses? (So far as my love for you is concerned I should say) if the people were to tread a valley and the Ansar tread a narraw path (in a mountain) I would tread the narrow path of the Ansar. (Using translation from Muslim 1059d)  

جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ أَفِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟ فَقَالُوا لَا إِلَّا ابْنُ أُخْتٍ لَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ أَوْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَقَالَ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَمُصِيبَةٍ وَإِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُجْبُرَهُمْ وَأَتَأَلَّفَهُمْ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ النَّاسُ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ إِلَى بُيُوتِكُمْ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَسَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ  

[Machine] He said about this verse, "Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory." [Surah Al-Fath, 1] Al-Hudaybiyah said.  

أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا} [الفتح 1] قَالَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةُ  

[Machine] "I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and behind Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman. They would not recite aloud the Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) in Al-Fatiha (Chapter 1)."  

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَخَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ فَكَانُوا لَا يَجْهَرُونَ بِ {بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة 1]  

Anas b. Malik reported that when Messenger of Allah ﷺ decided to write letters to the Byzantine (Emperor) they (his Companions) told him that they would not read a letter unless it is sealed. (Then) Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a silver ring made (for himself), (its shape is so vivid in my mind) as if I see its brightness in the band of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and its engravement was (Muhammad, Messenger of Allah). (Using translation from Muslim 2092c)  

لَمَّا أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ إِلَى الرُّومِ كِتَابًا قَالُوا إِنَّهُمْ لَا يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابًا إِلَّا مَخْتُومًا قَالَ فَاتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِهِ فِي يَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَقْشُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ  

[Machine] Narrated Anas: The Prophet ﷺ said, "The son of Adam becomes old and remains with two things: greed and hope."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺوَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَهْرَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ وَتَبْقَى مِنْهُ اثْنَتَانِ الْحِرْصُ وَالْأَمَلُ  

[Machine] "He said that the moon split into two parts."  

أَنَّهُ قَالَ انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ فِرْقَتَيْنِ  

[Machine] He heard Anas saying that the moon split during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .  

سَمِعَ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ  

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , and Waki' reported from Shu'bah, and Hisham reported from Qatadah, and Anas reported from the Prophet ﷺ , he said: 'There is no contagious disease, bird omen, or bad omen.' They asked, 'What is the good omen?' He said, 'The good word and the expression of Muhammed, son of Ja'far.'  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَحَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَهِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا فَأْلَ قَالَ قِيلَ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ  

O God, there is no life but the life of the Hereafter, So grant honour to the Ansar and the Muhajirs. (Using translation from Muslim 1805b)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ إِنَّ الْعَيْشَ عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ وَقَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ اللهُمَّ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَأَكْرِمِ الْأَنْصَارَ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ  

Anas said when some meat was brought to the Prophet ﷺ , he asked What is this? He was told this is a thing (meat), which was given as sadaqah to Barirah. Thereupon, he said it is sadaqah for her and a gift to us. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1655)   

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِلَحْمٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهُ قَدْ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ فَقَالَ هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَهُوَ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , has a reward for her, and we have a gift."  

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ  

[Machine] An Arab came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "When is the Hour?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "The love of Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You will be with those whom you love."  

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟ قَالَ وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟ قَالَ حُبَّ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ قَالَ أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ  

There is never a prophet who has not warned the Ummah of that one-eyed liar; behold he is one-eyed and your Lord is not one-eyed. On his forehead are the letters k f. r. (Kafir). (Using translation from Muslim 2933a)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ أُمَّتَهُ الْأَعْوَرَ الْكَافِرَ أَلَا إِنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ك ف ر  

Nobody who enters Paradise will (ever like to) return to this world even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth (as an inducement) except the martyr who will desire to return to this world and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honour that has been bestowed upon him. (Using translation from Muslim 1877b)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّ لَهُ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ غَيْرَ الشَّهِيدِ فَإِنَّهُ يَتَمَنَّى أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَيُقْتَلَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ لِمَا يَرَى مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ  

[Machine] I heard Anas bin Malik saying, "The Prophet ﷺ used to observe one of the most concealed prayers at the end."  

قَالَسَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ أَخَفِّ النَّاسِ صَلَاةً فِي تَمَامٍ  

“Some will exit the Fire,” Shuʿbah (another narrator) narrated it: 'Remove from the Fire whoever said La ilaha illallah and had good in his heart equal to the weight of a grain of barley. Remove from the Fire anyone who said La Ilaha illallah and had good in his heart equal to the weight of a grain of wheat. Remove from the Fire anyone who said La ilaha illallah and had good in his heart equal to the weight of a speck.” And Shubah said: “What is equal to the weight of a light piece of corn.” (Sahih) Other chains report similar narrations. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ يَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ أَخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ مَا يَزِنُ ذَرَّةً أَخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ مَا يَزِنُ شَعِيرَةً أَخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ مَا يَزِنُ بُرَّةً  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah says: 'Take out from the Fire whoever says 'There is no god but Allah' and in their heart weighs a grain of goodness.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللهُ أَخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جَعْفَرٍ وَزَادَ فِيهِ أَخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَكَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ مَا يَزِنُ دُودَةً  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not continue fasting." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, but you continue to fast." He said, "Indeed, I am not like any of you. I spend the night and am provided with food and drink."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُوَاصِلُوا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ أَوْ أَبِيتُ أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى  

the Messenger of Allah saw a man driving a Badanah and said: "Ride it." He said: "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it." He said: "It is a Badanah." The fourth time he said: Ride it, woe to you!" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2800)   

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ ارْكَبْهَا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, every prophet has a supplication which he called upon for his nation, and I have saved my supplication as intercession for my nation."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةً قَدْدَعَا بِهَا فِي أُمَّتِهِ وَإِنِّي اخْتَبَأْتُ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered the Ansar (supporters) and said, "Is there anyone among you who is not from your own people?" They replied, "No, except for the son of our aunt." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The son of a person's aunt is considered to be from his own people." Shu'bah (narrator) mentioned this incident to Muawiya bin Qurra, who then narrated it to me from Anas.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَمَعَ الْأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا لَا إِلَّا ابْنَ أُخْتٍ لَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً مِنْهُمْ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِمُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ  

The People. of the Book offer us salutations (by saying as-Salamu- 'Alaikum). How should we reciprocate them? Thereupon he said: Say: Wa 'Alaikum (and upon you too). (Using translation from Muslim 2163b)   

أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالُوا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْنَا فَكَيْفَ نَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ قُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ  

Abu Huraira reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying. Don't nurse malice against one another, don't nurse aversion against one another and don't be inquisitive about one another and don't outbid one another (with a view to raising the price) and be fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلَاتَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا  

[Machine] I heard Anas saying that the Prophet ﷺ used to frequently supplicate: "O Allah, give us goodness in this world and goodness in the hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Hellfire." Shu'bah said: So I mentioned this to Qatadah, and he said: Anas used to say this.  

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ اللهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِقَتَادَةَ فَقَالَ كَانَ أَنَسٌ يَقُولُ هَذَا  

[Machine] According to Anas, he said, "I have not heard anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding wine that he disliked."  

عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ فَقَالَ لَمْ أَسْمَعْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيهِ شَيْئًا قَالَ وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ يَكْرَهُهُ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was brought a silk garment, so they began touching it and looking at it. He said, "Are you amazed by this? The handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this, or smoother than this, or he said from a handkerchief like this."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِثَوْبٍ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَمَسُّونَهُ وَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذَا؟ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا أَوْ أَلْيَنُ مِنْ هَذَا أَوْ قَالَ مِنْدِيلُ  

I live in the thought of My servant as he thinks of Me and with him as he calls Me. (Using translation from Muslim 2675d)   

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللهُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي  

the son of a sister of a people belongs to them. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5122)
