The Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined killing the two black ones (snakes and scorpions) while praying. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1203)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined killing the two black ones (snakes and scorpions) while praying. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1203)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah has forgiven my nation for what they think of to themselves, so long as they do not act upon it or speak of it." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2040)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تُجُوِّزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْ فِي أَنْفُسِهَا أَوْ وَسْوَسَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسُهَا مَا لَمْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ أَوْ تَكَلَّمْ بِهِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a woman migrates from her husband's bed at night, the angels curse her until she returns." Ibn Jafar said, "until she returns."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا بَاتَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ هَاجِرَةً فِرَاشَ زَوْجِهَا بَاتَتْ تَلْعَنُهَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَتَّى تَرْجِعَ
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Surely, in Friday, there is a specific hour. Ibn Aown pointed out to us with his right hand by his left hand, saying: 'Any Muslim who stands up and prays to Allah, asking for goodness, will be granted it.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً وَجَعَلَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ يُرِينَا بِكَفِّهِ الْيُمْنَى فَقُلْنَا يُزَهِّدُهَا لَا يُوَافِقُهَا رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي يَسْأَلُ اللهَ خَيْرًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "In very hot weather delay the Zuhr prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold." (Using translation from Bukhārī 536)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you lead the people in prayer, make it easy for them, as among them are the elderly, the weak, and the young."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَمَمْتُمُ النَّاسَفَخَفِّفُوا فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَالصَّغِيرَ
[Machine] "If I had seen the date palm trees leaning towards each other (in order to copulate), I would have surely wished that I had been unacquainted with my loved ones. Because I heard the Prophet ﷺ prohibiting that their trees be pollinated or supported."
لَوْ رَأَيْتُ الْأَرْوَى تَجُوسُ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ مَا هِجْتُهَا وَلَا مَسِسْتُهَا وَذَلِكَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُحَرِّمُ شَجَرَهَا أَنْ يُخْبَطَ أَوْ يُعْضَدَ
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "The angels curse one of you when he points at his brother with a piece of iron, even if his brother is his own father or mother."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَلْعَنُ أَحَدَكُمْإِذَا أَشَارَ لِأَخِيهِ بِحَدِيدَةٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ أَخَاهُ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ
[Machine] "On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , or on your authority, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and then he returned and we said, now what will happen to him? He said, how did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying on the funeral prayer? He said, I heard him say, O Allah, You created it, You provided for it, and You guided it to Islam, and You took its soul. You know its secrets and its public matters. We have come as intercessors, so forgive it."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ حَدِيثَكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقُلْنَا الْآنَ يَقَعُ بِهِ قَالَ كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ؟ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَهَا وَأَنْتَ رَزَقْتَهَا وَأَنْتَ هَدَيْتَهَا لِلْإِسْلَامِ وَأَنْتَ قَبَضْتَ رُوحَهَا تَعْلَمُ سِرَّهَا وَعَلَانِيَتَهَا جِئْنَاشُفَعَاءَ فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will be no more Kisra after Kisra, nor Caesar after Caesar. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, their treasures will be spent in the way of Allah."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا كِسْرَى بَعْدَ كِسْرَى وَلَا قَيْصَرَ بَعْدَ قَيْصَرَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَيُنْفَقَنَّ كُنُوزُهُمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ
None amongst you can get. into Paradise by virtue of his deeds alone. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Grace and Mercy. (Using translation from Muslim 2816f)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَدْخُلُ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمُ الْجَنَّةَ بِعَمَلِهِ قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The dust in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hell will never be combined in the nostrils of a Muslim, and stinginess and faith will never be combined in a Muslim man's heart.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3114)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَجْتَمِعُ غُبَارٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَدُخَانُ جَهَنَّمَ فِي مُنْخُرَيْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَا يَجْتَمِعُ شُحٌّ وَإِيمَانٌ فِي قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ
Messenger of Allah said: "Salat is this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand Salat in another, except for Masjid Al-Haram." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 325)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ
“There should be no prizes for racing except races with camels and horses.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2878)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا سَبَقَ إِلَّا فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ حَافِرٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The likeness of a miser and a spendthrift is like a man with two iron collars around his necks, reaching down to his chest. As for the spendthrift, he does not spend from them unless they stretch beyond the place they belong. And as for the miser, it does not increase on him except in tightness."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ الْبَخِيلِ وَالْمُنْفِقِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا جُبَّتَانِ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ مِنْ لَدُنْثُدِيِّهِمَا إِلَى تَرَاقِيهِمَا فَأَمَّا الْمُنْفِقُ فَلَا يُنْفِقُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا اتَّسَعَتْ حَلَقَةٌ مَكَانَهَا فَهُوَ يُوَسِّعُهَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَمَّا الْبَخِيلُ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَزْدَادُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا اسْتِحْكَامًا
[Machine] "Abu Al-Qasim, if I had some gold with me, it would please me to spend it in the path of Allah and not have a third party involved. I only have dinars and dirhams, but they are all reserved for a debt I owe."
أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ لَوْ كَانَ أُحُدٌ عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِي أَنْ أُنْفِقَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَأَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهِ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ وَلَا دِرْهَمٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ
The similitude of mine and that of the Apostles (before me) is that of a person who constructed a building and he built it fine and well and the people went round it saying: Never have we seen a building more imposing than this. but for one brick, and I am that brick (with which you give the finishing touch to the building). قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ ابْتَنَى بُنْيَانًا فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَكْمَلَهُ إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ مِنْ زَوَايَاهُ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يُطِيفُونَ بِهِ وَيَعْجَبُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَقُولُونَ مَا رَأَيْنَا بُنْيَانًا أَحْسَنَ مِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ هَذِهِ اللَّبِنَةِ فَكُنْتُ أَنَا تِلْكَ اللَّبِنَةَ
[Machine] "Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ is the first group from my nation who will enter Paradise in the likeness of the moon on a full moonlit night. The group that follows them will have the brightness of the most radiant star in the sky."
أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا عَلَى أَشَدِّ نَجْمٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ إِضَاءَةً
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "On Friday, there is an hour when, if a Muslim slave asks Allah for something at that time, He will give it to him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1431)
وَفِي الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي يَسْأَلُ اللهَ فِيهَا شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ
[Machine] Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ said, "The Hour will not take place until knowledge is taken away, and trials become widespread, and there is much killing." They asked, "What is 'killing,' O Prophet of Allah?" He replied, "It is murder."
أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ
[Machine] Abu Al-Qasim, ﷺ , was the leader of the first group and mentioned the narrative.
أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, it is better for one of you to take a rope, go to the mountain, cut firewood, carry it on his back, and then sell it, rather than asking people for help. And it is better for one of you to take a handful of dirt and put it in a vessel, rather than putting in it something that Allah has forbidden."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلَهُ فَيَذْهَبَ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَيَحْتَطِبَ ثُمَّ يَأْتِيَ بِهِ يَحْمِلُهُ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَبِيعَهُ فَيَأْكُلَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ وَلَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ تُرَابًا فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي فِيهِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ فِي فِيهِ مَا حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ
"Angels come to you in succession by night and day, and they meet at Fajr prayer and 'Asr prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and He (Allah) will ask them, although He knows best: 'In what condition did you leave My slaves.' They will say: 'We left them when they were praying and we came to them when they were praying.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 485)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَلَائِكَةً يَتَعَاقَبُونَ مَلَائِكَةَ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةَ النَّهَارِ فَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا فِيكُمْ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ فَيَقُولُ كَيْفَ تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادِي؟ فَيَقُولُونَ تَرَكْنَاهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ وَأَتَيْنَاهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ
The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Fast is a shield ; when one of you is fasting, he should neither behave in an obscene manner nor foolishly. If a man fights or abuses him, he should say: I am fasting, I am fasting. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2363)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ وَإِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يَوْمًا صَائِمًا فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ قَاتَلَهُ أَوْ شَاتَمَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ
[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah ﷻ says, "Every action of the son of Adam is for him except fasting, for it is for Me and I shall reward for it. Fasting is a shield. When any one of you is observing fast, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor should he raise his voice; and if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him, he should say: 'I am fasting.'" By Him, in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of one observing Saum is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. The one who fasts two days willingly for the sake of Allah, Allah will keep him away from the fire of Hell.
وَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ إِنَّمَا يَتْرُكُ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي فَصِيَامُهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ كُلُّ حَسَنَةٍ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of excessive intimacy." They said, "But aren't you engaged in intimacy, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "I am not like you in that regard. Indeed, my Lord nourishes me and quenches my thirst, so take on actions that you are capable of."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ فِي ذَلِكَ مِثْلَكُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي فَاكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People are like minerals; you will find their best during the time of ignorance and their best in Islam when they have knowledge."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ النَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ تَجِدُونَ خِيَارَهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارَهُمْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِذَا فَقِهُوا
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A Muslim eats in one intestine (i.e. he is satisfied with a little food) while a Kafir (unbeliever) eats in seven intestines (eats much). (Using translation from Bukhārī 5396)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُسْلِمُ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ وَالْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ
“In Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider could travel for one hundred years and never leave it.” "Recite, if you wish: 'And in shade long-extended (56:30).'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4335)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا
Abu-l-Qasim (the Prophet) said, "By Him in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, if you know that which I know, you would weep much and laugh little." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6637)
أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا وَلَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne, "My Mercy overpowers My Anger." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3194)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا قَضَى اللهُ الْخَلْقَ كَتَبَ فِي كِتَابِهِ فَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ فَوْقَ الْعَرْشِ إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي
The Prophet said: "Leave me as I have left you (Don't ask me the minor things that I have avoided to tell you). For those who came before you were doomed because of their questions and differences with their Prophets. If I commanded you to do something, then do as much of it as you can, and if I forbid you from doing something, then refrain from it." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ فَإِذَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الشَّيْءِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ وَإِذَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِالشَّيْءِ فَأْتُوا مِنْهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "Allah has ninety-nine Names, one hundred less one. Whoever counts them will enter Paradise." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3860)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ اسْمًا مِائَةً غَيْرَ وَاحِدٍ مَنْ أَحْصَاهَا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِنَّهُ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ
In every prayer there is a recitation. We make you listen what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made us listen, and we keep hidden from you what he kept hidden from us. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 797)
أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا فَمَا أَسْمَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَسْمَعْنَاكُمْ وَمَا أَخْفَى عَلَيْنَا أَخْفَيْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah ﷻ."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النَّاسَ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ اللهَ ﷻ
[Machine] I arrived in the city and I saw a circle near the pulpit of the Prophet ﷺ. So I asked and it was said to me, "Abu Hurairah." He said to me, "Who are you?" I said, "I am from the people of Yemen." He said, "I have heard my beloved, or he said, I have heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ saying, 'The faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni, they are the most tender-hearted people. And the harshness is among the mountains of Fadad and he pointed with his hand towards the East."
قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ حَلْقَةً عِنْدَ مِنْبَرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلْتُ فَقِيلَ لِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ فَسَلَّمْتُ فَقَالَ لِي مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ؟ قُلْتُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ حِبِّي أَوْ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ هُمْ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا وَالْجَفَاءُ فِيالْفَدَّادِينَ أَصْحَابِ الْوَبَرِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ
[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a funeral, and whenever I walked, he walked ahead of me, so I hurried. And when I hurried, he preceded me. So I turned to a man beside me and said, "The earth folds for him, the friend of Ibrahim."
كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي جَنَازَةٍ فَكُنْتُ إِذَا مَشَيْتُ سَبَقَنِي فَأُهَرْوِلُ فَإِذَا هَرْوَلْتُ سَبَقْتُهُ فَالْتَفَتُّإِلَى رَجُلٍ إِلَى جَنْبِي فَقُلْتُ تُطْوَى لَهُ الْأَرْضُ وَخَلِيلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
“Whoever finds his exact property with a man who has become bankrupt, and then he has more right to it than anyone else.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2358)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ وَجَدَ مَالَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ عِنْدَ إِنْسَانٍ قَدْ أَفْلَسَ أَوْ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ قَدْ أَفْلَسَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Argumentation in the Quran is disbelief."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جِدَالٌ فِي الْقُرْآنِ كُفْرٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one-third of the night remains, Allah descends to the lower heaven and asks, 'Who is calling upon Me so that I may answer him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so that I may forgive him? Who is seeking provision from Me so that I may provide for him? Who is seeking relief from distress so that I may relieve him?' This continues until dawn breaks."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَقِيَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ يَنْزِلُ اللهُ ﷻ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ؟ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ؟ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَرْزِقُنِي فَأَرْزُقَهُ؟ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَكْشِفُ الضُّرَّ فَأَكْشِفَهُ عَنْهُ؟ حَتَّى يَنْفَجِرَ الْفَجْرُ
"Three supplications are accepted , there is no doubt in them (about them being accepted): The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of a parent against his child." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1905)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثُ دَعَوَاتٍمُسْتَجَابَاتٌ لَا شَكَّ فِيهِنَّ دَعْوَةُ الْمَظْلُومِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْمُسَافِرِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْوَالِدِ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "The best deeds in the sight of Allah are faith without doubt, and a raid without theft, and a Hajj that is accepted." Abu Hurairah also said: "A Hajj that is accepted will expiate sins committed in that year."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَفْضَلُ الْأَعْمَالِ عِنْدَ اللهِ إِيمَانٌ لَا شَكَّ فِيهِ وَغَزْوٌ لَا غُلُولَ فِيهِ وَحَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ وقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ يُكَفِّرُ خَطَايَا تِلْكَ السَّنَةِ
[Machine] "Abu Hurairah advised me, my beloved, to fast three days every month, and to pray the Dhuha prayer. I never sleep except on my right side."
أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ صَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَصَلَاةِ الضُّحَى وَلَا أَنَامُ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it were not difficult for my ummah, I would have commanded them to perform ablution before every prayer, or with every ablution, to use the Siwak (toothstick), and I would have delayed the Isha prayer to one-third of the night."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ بِوُضُوءٍ أَوْ مَعَ كُلِّ وُضُوءٍ بِسِوَاكٍ وَلَأَخَّرْتُ عِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةِ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you has his servant prepare his meal, then he should suffice him with his warmth and coldness (comfort). Then, let him make him sit with him. If he refuses, then let him give him a mouthful in his hand."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَصْلَحَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ لَهُ طَعَامَهُ فَكَفَاهُ حَرَّهُ وَبَرْدَهُ فَلْيُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً فِي يَدِهِ
[Machine] The prayer was being held when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived. He stood in his designated spot and mentioned that he hadn't performed ablution, so he left and then returned. He said, "Just as you are, line up behind me." He came forward and his head was dripping with water, so he prayed alongside us.
أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَغْتَسِلْ فَانْصَرَفَ ثُمَّ قَالَ كَمَا أَنْتُمْ فَصَفَفْنَا فَجَاءَ وَإِنَّ رَأْسَهُ لَيَنْطِفُ فَصَلَّى بِنَا
“When you see the new crescent then fast, and when you see it then stop fasting. If it is cloudy then fast thirty days.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1655)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْهِلَالَ فَصُومُوا وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَأَفْطِرُوا فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَصُومُوا ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep at night, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he has washed his hand three times, for he does’ not know where his hand was during the night. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 103)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not say the disappointment of time, for indeed Allah is the time, and do not call the grape the vine."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَقُولُوا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ إِنَّ اللهَ هُوَ الدَّهْرُ وَلَا تُسَمُّوا الْعِنَبَ الْكَرْمَ
