ahmad-zuhd:44ʿAbdullāh > Abū Maʿmar / al-Qaṭīʿī > Jarīr / Ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd And Wakīʿ / Ibn al-Jarrāḥ > Sufyān > Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir

[Machine] It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, when do the people of Paradise sleep?" He said, "Sleep is the brother of death and the people of Paradise do not sleep."  

الزهد لأحمد:٤٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ يَعْنِي الْقَطِيعِيَّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ وَوَكِيعٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ

قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيَنَامُ [12] أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالَ «النَّوْمُ أَخُو الْمَوْتِ وَأَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ لَا يَمُوتُونَ»
