[Machine] Indeed, when the servant comes closer to Allah, Allah comes closer to the hearts of the believers towards him.  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٢١٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ

«إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا أَقْبَلَ عَلَى اللَّهِ ﷻ أَقْبَلَ اللَّهُ بِقُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِلَيْهِ»

[Machine] "Haram ibn Hayyan used to say, 'No servant approaches Allah except that Allah also approaches the hearts of the believers towards him, until He blesses them with their love and mercy.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:١٢٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ فِي تَفْسِيرِ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ وَذَكَرَ لَنَا

أَنَّ هَرِمَ بْنَ حَيَّانَ كَانَ يَقُولُ «مَا أَقْبَلَ عَبْدٌ بِقَلْبِهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ﷻ إِلَّا أَقْبَلَ اللَّهُ بِقُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَرْزُقَهُ مَوَدَّتَهُمْ وَرَحْمَتَهُمْ»
