الزهد لأحمد:٢٠٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أُخْبِرْتُ عَنِ ابْنِ السَّمَّاكِ قَالَ قَالَ ذَرٌّ لِأَبِيهِ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ مَا بَالُ الْمُتَكَلِّمِينَ يَتَكَلَّمُونَ فَلَا يَبْكِي أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا تَكَلَّمْتَ أَنْتَ سُمِعَ الْبُكَاءُ مِنْ هَاهُنَا وَهَاهُنَا؟ قَالَ

«يَا بُنَيَّ لَيْسَ النَّائِحَةُ الْمُسْتَأْجَرَةُ كَالنَّائِحَةِ الثَّكْلَى»
