ahmad-zuhd:1134 – ʿAbdullāh > ʿAl Abū Hadhā al-Ḥdyth > Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Abzá > Mubārak > al-Ḥasan

[Machine] I see it as a narrow, dry, dark house with no food, no drink, and no wife. He said, "By Allah, it is your house." He said, "By Allah, you are telling the truth. By Allah, if I had returned, I would have been transported from that place to this one."

الزهد لأحمد:١١٣٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلىَ أَبِي هَذَا الحديث حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبْزَى حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ كَانَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَخَلَصَ إِلَى قَبْرٍ خَاسِفٍ وَثَمَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ تَعَالَى يَا فُلَانُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ قَالَ اطَّلِعْ إِلَى بَيْتِكَ قَالَ

أَرَاهُ بَيْتًا ضَيِّقًا يَابِسًا مُظْلِمًا لَيْسَ فِيهِ طَعَامٌ وَلَا شَرَابٌ وَلَا زَوْجَةٌ قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ وَاللَّهِ بَيْتُكَ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ صَدَقْتَ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ قَدْ رَجَعْتُ نُقِلْتُ مِنْ ذَاكَ فِي هَذَا

[Machine] He was at a funeral, so he sat at a dark, gloomy grave. Then, a man from his family came and said, "O so-and-so, when he arrived, he said, 'Look here.' So, he did. He said, 'I see a narrow, dry, dark house with no food, drink, or wife in it.' He said, 'By Allah, that is your house.' He said, 'You speak the truth. By Allah, if you were to return to the grave, it would turn into this, so do not do it.'"
