When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Medina, the Abyssinians played for his coming out of joy; they played with spears.  

أبو داود:٤٩٢٣حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ لَعِبَتِ الْحَبَشَةُ لِقُدُومِهِ فَرَحًا بِذَلِكَ لَعِبُوا بِحِرَابِهِمْ
