I heard the crier of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ calling : Assemble for the prayer. I Then came out and prayed along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he sat on the pulpit laughing, and he said : Everyone should remain where he had said his prayer. He then asked : Do you know why I have assembled you? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He ﷺ said: I did not call you together fors some alarming news or for something good. Rather, I called you all because Tamim al-Dari, a Christian, who came and accepted Islam, told me something which agrees with what I was telling you about the Dajjal. He told me that he sailed with thirty men of Lakhm and Judham and that they were storm-tossed for a month. They drew near to an island when the sun was setting. They sat in a boat nearest to them and entered the island where they were met by a very hairy beast. They said: Woe to you! What can you be ? It replied : I am the Jassasah. Go to this man in the monastery, for he is anxious to get news of you. He said : When it named a man to us we were afraid of it lest it should be a she-devil. So we went off quickly and entered the monastery, where we found a man with the hugest and strongest frame we had ever seen with his hands chained to his neck. He then narrated the rest of the tradition. He asked them about the palm-trees of Baisan and the spring of Zughar and about the unlettered prophet. He said: I am the messiah (the Antichrist) and will be soon given permission to emerge. And the Prophet ﷺ said: He is in the Syrian sea or the Yemeni sea: No, on the contrary, it is towards the east that he is. He said it twice and pointed his hand to the east. She said: I memorized this (tradition) from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she narrated the tradition.

سَمِعْتُ مُنَادِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُنَادِي أَنَّ الصَّلاَةَ جَامِعَةٌ فَخَرَجْتُ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الصَّلاَةَ جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ قَالَ لِيَلْزَمْ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ مُصَلاَّهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَلْ تَدْرُونَ لِمَ جَمَعْتُكُمْ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ إِنِّي مَا جَمَعْتُكُمْ لِرَهْبَةٍ وَلاَ رَغْبَةٍ وَلَكِنْ جَمَعْتُكُمْ أَنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ كَانَ رَجُلاً نَصْرَانِيًّا فَجَاءَ فَبَايَعَ وَأَسْلَمَ وَحَدَّثَنِي حَدِيثًا وَافَقَ الَّذِي حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَّهُ رَكِبَ فِي سَفِينَةٍ بَحْرِيَّةٍ مَعَ ثَلاَثِينَ رَجُلاً مِنْ لَخْمٍ وَجُذَامٍ فَلَعِبَ بِهِمُ الْمَوْجُ شَهْرًا فِي الْبَحْرِ وَأَرْفَئُوا إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ حِينَ مَغْرِبِ الشَّمْسِ فَجَلَسُوا فِي أَقْرَبِ السَّفِينَةِ فَدَخَلُوا الْجَزِيرَةَ فَلَقِيَتْهُمْ دَابَّةٌ أَهْلَبُ كَثِيرَةُ الشَّعْرِ قَالُوا وَيْلَكِ مَا أَنْتِ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ فِي هَذَا الدَّيْرِ فَإِنَّهُ إِلَى خَبَرِكُمْ بِالأَشْوَاقِ قَالَ لَمَّا سَمَّتْ لَنَا رَجُلاً فَرِقْنَا مِنْهَا أَنْ تَكُونَ شَيْطَانَةً فَانْطَلَقْنَا سِرَاعًا حَتَّى دَخَلْنَا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا فِيهِ أَعْظَمُ إِنْسَانٍ رَأَيْنَاهُ قَطُّ خَلْقًا وَأَشَدُّهُ وَثَاقًا مَجْمُوعَةٌ يَدَاهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَسَأَلَهُمْ عَنْ نَخْلِ بَيْسَانَ وَعَنْ عَيْنِ زُغَرَ وَعَنِ النَّبِيِّ الأُمِّيِّ قَالَ إِنِّي أَنَا الْمَسِيحُ وَإِنَّهُ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يُؤْذَنَ لِي فِي الْخُرُوجِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَإِنَّهُ فِي بَحْرِ الشَّامِ أَوْ بَحْرِ الْيَمَنِ لاَ بَلْ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ مَا هُوَ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ قَالَتْ حَفِظْتُ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once came quickly to the pulpit and called out to the people to gather for the congregational prayer. The people gathered and he said, "O people, I did not call you out of desire or fear. Rather, Tamim the Dari informed me that a group of people from Palestine boarded a ship, but were thrown by the winds to an island among the islands of the sea. There, they encountered a beast with thick hair. It is not known whether it is male or female because of the abundance of its hair. They asked, 'Who are you?' and it replied, 'I am the Jassasah.' They asked it to inform them, but it replied, 'I am not an informer or one who seeks information. However, in this monastery, there is a poor man who longs to inform you and seek information from you.' So they entered the monastery and found a man chained with iron. They asked, 'Who are you?' and he said, 'We are the Arabs.' He asked them, 'Has the Prophet been sent among you?' and they replied, 'Yes.' He asked, 'Have the Arabs obeyed him?' and they replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'That is good for them.' He asked, 'What has Persia done?' and they answered, 'It has not appeared on it yet.' He said, 'Indeed, it will appear on it.' Then he asked, 'What has happened to Zughar?' and they replied, 'It is flowing abundantly.' He asked, 'What has happened to the palm trees of Baysan?' and they replied, 'They have been fertilized.' He then jumped away until we thought he would slip away, so we asked, 'Who are you?' and he replied, 'I am the Dajjal (the Antichrist). Indeed, I will travel throughout the entire earth except Makkah and Madinah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Rejoice, O Muslims. This is the land of Tayyiba (Madinah) that he cannot enter.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُسْرِعًا فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةٌ فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدْعُكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ وَلَكِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ رَكِبُوا الْبَحْرَ فَقَذَفَتْهُمُ الرِّيحُ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَابَّةٍ أَشْعَرَ مَا يُدْرَى أَذَكَرٌ هُوَ أَمْ أُنْثَى لِكَثْرَةِ شَعْرِهِ قَالُوا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ فَقَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ فَقَالُوا فَأَخْبِرِينَا فَقَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَا مُسْتَخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ فِي هَذَا الدَّيْرِ رَجُلٌ فَقِيرٌ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَكُمْ وَإِلَى أَنْ يَسْتَخْبِرَكُمْ فَدَخَلُوا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ أَعْوَرُ مُصَفَّدٌ فِي الْحَدِيدِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قُلْنَا نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ فَقَالَ هَلْ بُعِثَ فِيكُمُ النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَهَلْاتَّبَعَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَتْ فَارِسُ؟ هَلْ ظَهَرَ عَلَيْهَا؟ قَالُوا لَمْ يَظْهَرْ عَلَيْهَا بَعْدُ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرَ؟ قَالُوا هِيَ تَدْفُقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ هَلْ أَطْعَمَ؟ قَالُوا قَدْ أَطْعَمَ أَوَائِلُهُ قَالَ فَوَثَبَ وَثْبَةً حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيَفْلِتُ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ أَمَا إِنِّي سَأَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبْشِرُوا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا يَعْنِي الدَّجَّالَ

[Machine] He said to Fatimah bint Qays, "Tell me something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and do not tell me something that you have not heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." She said, "Yes, I heard the call to prayer being announced, so the people gathered and became frightened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then climbed the pulpit and praised Allah and glorified Him. He said, 'I did not gather you out of desire or fear, but rather I have heard a narration from Tameem Ad-Daari that he claimed to have ridden the sea with thirty men from Lakhm and Juzam tribes. The sea played with us and we sailed with the waves for a month until we were thrown by the ship onto an island in the sea. We went out on it and found a young girl whose hair was being combed, and we did not know if she was coming or going. We asked her, 'Who are you?' She said, 'I am the Jassasah.' We said, 'Tell us about the person who lives in the monastery, for he will inform you and give you news.' We entered upon him and found a man who was being held to a chain that was made of iron and was fastened to the ground. We asked, 'Who are you?' He replied, 'Inform me about what I will ask you, (first).' We said, 'Ask.' He said, 'What has the date-palm of Baysaan produced?' We replied, 'Dates.' He said, 'Verily, it shall not bear any more dates.' He said, 'What about the lake of Zughar, is there water in it?' We replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'Verily, it shall become dry.' He then said, 'Inform me about this man who claims to be a prophet. Has he been sent?' We replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'Indeed, soon the earth shall be rolled up for him and he will come to all people within forty mornings.'"  

ابن حبّان:٦٧٨٧أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ السِّكِّينِ بِبَلَدِ الْمَوْصِلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ كَهْمَسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ حَدِّثِينِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتِيهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَا تُحَدِّثِينِي بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ تَسْمَعِيهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ نُودِيَ بِالصَّلَاةِ جَامِعَةً فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ وَفَزِعُوا قَالَتْ فَصَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ «إِنِّي لَمْ أَجْمَعْكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ وَلَكِنْ حَدِيثٌ حَدَّثَنِيهِ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ فِي ثَلَاثِينَ رَجُلًا مِنْ لَخْمٍ وَجُذَامٍ قَالَ فَلَعِبَ بِنَا الْبَحْرُ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ لَعِبَ بِنَا الْمَوْجُ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ قَذَفَ بِنَا السَّفِينَةَ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ فِي الْبَحْرِ قَالَ فَخَرَجْنَا إِلَيْهَا فَلَقِيَتْنَا جَارِيَةٌ تَجُرُّ شَعْرَهَا لَا نَدْرِي مُقْبِلَةٌ هِيَ أَمْ مُدْبِرَةٌ قُلْنَا مَا أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قُلْنَا أَخْبِرِينَا قَالَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ بِصَاحِبِ الدَّيْرِ وَهُوَ يُخْبِرُكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْبِرُكُمْ قَالَ فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ ذَكَرَ مِنْ عِظَمِهِ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ مُوثَقٌ إِلَى حَبَلٍ بِالْحَدِيدِ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَخْبِرُونِي عَمَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَنْهُ قَالُوا سَلْنَا قَالَ مَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ يُطْعَمُ؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَنْ لَا يُطْعَمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ عَيْنِ زُغَرَ بِهَا مَاءٌ؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ بِهَا مَاءٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ هَلْ خَرَجَ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ إِنَّهُ صَادِقٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ» قَالَ كَهْمَسٌ فَذَكَرَ ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ شَيْئًا لَمْ أَحْفَظْهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ « تُطْوَى لَهُ الْأَرْضُ وَيَأْتِي عَلَى جَمِيعِهِنَّ فِي أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came hastily one day and ascended the pulpit. He announced to the people to gather for the congregational prayer, so the people gathered. He said, "O people, I did not invite you out of desire or fear, but Tamim Ad-Dari informed me that some people from the people of Palestine took a boat and were cast by the wind onto an island from the islands of the sea. There, they found a creature, neither male nor female, from the abundance of hair. They asked, 'Who are you?' It said, 'I am Al-Jassasah.' They asked, 'Inform us.' It said, 'I am not a informer or a seeker of information from you, but there is someone here who is poor and wants to inform you and ask you.' So, they went to a monastery and found a man, heavily chained with iron. They asked, 'Who are you?' He said, 'We are the Arabs.' They asked, 'Has the Prophet been sent among you?' They replied, 'Yes.' He asked, 'Have the Arabs obeyed him?' They replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'That is good for them.' He asked, 'What did Persia do?' They replied, 'It has declined.' He said, 'Has Byzantium been defeated?' They replied, 'It has not been defeated.' He said, 'It will soon be defeated until it is humiliated.' He asked, 'What did `Ubaydullah do?' They replied, 'He is a righteous man.' He said, 'What did a Dabbah (wild animal) do?' They replied, 'Its qualities appeared, so we feared that it might overpower us.' He asked, 'What did the date-palm tree of Bisan (Palestine) do?' They replied, 'It irrigated the first.' He said, 'Then it will remain like that.' He asked, 'Who are you?' They said, 'We are the Muslims.' He said, 'Give the good news to the Muslim community that this is Taibah (Madinah) which no one can enter except a believer.'  

ابن حبّان:٦٧٨٩أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُسْرِعًا فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةً فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدْعُكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ وَلَكِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ رَكِبُوا الْبَحْرَ فَقَذَفَتْهُمُ الرِّيحُ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَابَّةٍ لَا يُدْرَى أَذَكَرٌ هُوَ أَمْ أُنْثَى مِنْ كَثْرَةِ الشَّعْرِ فَقَالُوا مَنْ أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قَالُوا أَخْبِرِينَا؟ قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَا مُسْتَخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ هَاهُنَا مَنْ هُوَ فَقِيرٌ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَكُمْ وَإِلَى أَنْ يَسْتَخْبِرَكُمْ فَأَتَوَا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا بِرَجُلٍ مَرِيرٍ مُصَفَّدٍ بِالْحَدِيدِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ قَالَ هَلْ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَهَلْ تَبِعَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ فَارِسُ؟ قَالُوا لَمْ يَظْهَرْ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرَ؟ قَالُوا تَدَفَّقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ قَالُوا قَدْ أَطْعَمَ أَوَائِلُهُ فَوَثَبَ عَلَيْهِ وَثْبَةً حَتَّى خَشِينَا أَنْ سَيَغْلِبَ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ أَمَا إِنِّي سَأَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَبْشِرُوا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا»

[Machine] Abu 'Umar ad-Darir and Abu 'Umar al-Hawdi said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, I am Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from 'Amir ash-Sha'bi, from Fatimah bint Qays al-Fihriyah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came one day hastening until he ascended the pulpit and the call to prayer was made for the people to pray in congregation. So he delivered a sermon and said: "I did not call you out of desire or fear, but Tamim ad-Dari informed me that a group from the people of Palestine embarked on a sea voyage, and the wind cast them onto an island from among the islands of the sea. There, they found a creature with long hair, the likes of which they had never seen before. They asked, 'Who are you?' It said, 'I am the Spy.' They asked, 'Inform us about ourselves.' It said, 'I am not the one who informs you or who can be informed by you. But in this monastery, there is a man who can inform you and you can ask him out of longing.' So they entered the monastery and found a man shackled with iron. They asked, 'Who are you?' He said, 'Who are you?' They said, 'We are Arabs.' He asked, 'Has the Prophet appeared among you?' They said, 'Yes.' He asked, 'Have the Arabs followed him?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Is it better for them that they have done so?' They said, 'Yes.' He asked, 'Has it appeared in Persia?' They said, 'No.' He said, 'Indeed, it will appear among them.' Then he asked, 'What did the one-eyed do?' They said, 'He caused much harm.' He asked, 'What happened to the Lake of Tabariyah?' They said, 'It dried up, leaving behind a meadow.' He asked, 'What happened to the date palm of Bayhan?' They said, 'It has fed its early fruits and leapt as though it would escape from its restraints.' Then he said to them, 'I am the Dajjal. I am going to emerge and will not leave any land except Makkah and Madinah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Give glad tidings, for the Muslims have been given good news. This is the land of Taibah (Madinah), it will not be entered by the Dajjal.'"

ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ وَأَبُو عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ الْفِهْرِيَّةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُسْرِعًا حَتَّى صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةً فَخَطَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدْعُكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ وَلَكِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ قَوْمًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ رَكِبُوا الْبَحْرَ فَأَلْقَتْهُمُ الرِّيحُ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَابَّةٍ أَشْعُرُ لَا نَدْرِي أَذَكَرٌ هُوَ أَمْ أُنْثَى لِكَثْرَةِ شَعْرِهَا فَقَالُوا مَا أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قَالُوا فَأَخْبِرِينَا قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَا مُسْتَخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ فِي هَذَا الدَّيْرِ رَجُلٌ هُوَ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَكُمْ وتَسْتَخْبِرُونَهُ بِالْأَشْوَاقِ فَدَخَلُوا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِالرَّجُلِ مُصَفَّدٌ بِالْحَدِيدِ فَقَالُوا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ قَالَ ظَهَرَ مِنْكُمُ النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاتَّبَعَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ أَمَا أَنَّ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ قَالَ هَلْ ظَهَرَ عَلَى فَارِسَ؟ قَالُوا لَا قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرٍ؟ قَالُوا هِيَ تَتَدَفَّقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَتْ بُحَيْرَةُ الطَّبَرِيَّةِ؟ قَالُوا هِيَ تَتَدَفَّقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ قَالُوا قَدْ أَطْعَمَ أَوَائِلَهُ فَوَثَبَ حَتَّى ظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ سَيُفْلِتُ مِنْ قُيُودِهِ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ أَمَا أَنِّي سَأَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَبْشِرُوا فَبَشَّرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا»

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came one day in a hurry and climbed the pulpit. He called out to the people that the prayer is congregational, so the people gathered. He said, "O people, I did not call you out of desire or fear that happened to you, but Tamim Ad-Dari informed me that some people from the people of Palestine boarded a ship and the wind threw them onto an island from the islands of the sea, where they found a beast with long hair that could not be known if it was male or female due to its abundant hair. They asked it, 'Who are you?' It said, 'I am Al-Jassasa.' They asked it, 'Inform us.' It said, 'I will not inform you or spy for you, but there is a poor person in the monastery who is longing to inform you and to spy for you, so they came to the monastery and found a man blind, bald, and chained to iron. They asked him, 'Who are you?' He said, 'I am Al-Arab.' They said, 'Was the Prophet ﷺ sent?' He said, 'Yes.' They said, 'Did the Arabs follow him?' He said, 'Yes.' They said, 'That is best for them.' Then he said, 'What did Persia do?' They said, 'It has not appeared on it yet.' He said, 'It will appear on it.' Then he said, 'What did 'Uyb do?' They said, 'It has poured forth its malcontents.' He said, 'What did Lake Tabariyah do?' They said, 'It has poured forth its malcontents.' He said, 'What did the Date-Palm of Baysan do?' They said, 'It has given food to its first and burst forth such a stream that we feared it will wash us away.' They said, 'Who are you?' He said, 'I am the Dajjal.' He said, 'Indeed, I will land upon the earth from its corner, except for Makkah and Madinah.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'So give glad tidings, O people of the Muslims, this is Madinah which will not be entered by the Dajjal.'"  

الكبرى للنسائي:٤٢٤٤أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنِ الْحَجَّاجُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُسْرِعًا فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ أَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةٌ فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدْعُكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ فِيكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ رَكِبُوا الْبَحْرَ فَقَذَفَتْهُمُ الرِّيحُ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَابَّةٍ أَشْعَرَ لَا يُدْرَى أَذَكَرٌ هُوَ أَمْ أُنْثَى؟ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ الشَّعْرِ فَقَالُوا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قَالُوا أَخْبِرِينَا قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَا مُسْتَخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ هَاهُنَا فِي الدَّيْرِ مَنْ هُوَ فَقِيرٌ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَكُمْ وَإِلَى أَنْ يَسْتَخْبِرَكُمْ فَأَتَوَا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِرَجُلٍ ضَرِيرٍ مُصَفَّدٍ فِي الْحَدِيدِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ قَالَ هَلْ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَهَلِ اتَّبَعَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَاكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ فَارِسُ؟ قَالُوا لَمْ يَظْهَرْ عَلَيْهَا بَعْدُ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرٍ قَالُوا تَدْفُقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَتْ بُحَيْرَةُ الطَّبَرِيَّةِ؟ قَالُوا هِيَ تَدْفُقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ قَالُوا قَدْ أَطْعَمَ أَوَائِلُهُ فَوَثَبَ وَثْبَةً حَتَّى خَشِينَا أَنَّهُ يَنْفَلِتُ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ قَالَ أَمَا إِنِّي سَأَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «فَأَبْشِرُوا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا»
