I intended to prohibit suckling during pregnancy (ghailah), but I considered the Greeks and the Persians and saw that they practiced it, without any injury being caused to their children thereby. Malik said : Ghailah means that a man has intercourse with a women while she is suckling a child.

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ-Gharīb.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Nawfal said, ''Urwa ibn az-Zubayr informed me from A'isha umm al- muminin that Judama bint Wahb al-Asadiyya informed her that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'I intended to prohibit ghila but I remembered that the Greeks and Persians do that without it causing any injury to their children.' " Malik explained, "Ghila is that a man has intercourse with his wife while she is suckling."

"I was thinking of forbidding Ghilah until I remembered that it is done by the Persians and Romans" -(one of the narrators) Ishaq said: "(They) do that -and it does not harm their children." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3326)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I had intended to forbid the practice of Ghila (maternal aunt) but then I remembered that the Persians and the Romans practice it and it does not harm their children." Abu Muhammad said, "Ghila refers to sexual intercourse with a woman while she is breastfeeding."
