A troop of soldiers who fight in tile way of Allah and get their share of the booty receive in advance two-thirds of their reward in the Hereafter and only one-third will remain (to their credit). If they do not receive any booty, they will get their full reward.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُصِيبُونَ الْغَنِيمَةَ إِلاَّ تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَىْ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ وَيَبْقَى لَهُمُ الثُّلُثُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ  

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'There is no raiding party that goes out in the cause of Allah and acquires some spoils of war, but they have been given two-thirds of their reward in this world instead of in the Hereafter, and there remains one-third (in the Hereafter). And if they do not acquire any spoils of war, then all of their reward (will come in the Hereafter).'"  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُصِيبُونَ غَنِيمَةً إِلاَّ تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَىْ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ وَيَبْقَى لَهُمُ الثُّلُثُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ  

“I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: ‘There is no band of warriors that fights in the cause of Allah and acquires war spoils, but they have been given two thirds of their reward, but if they do not get any spoils of war, then they will have their reward in full (in the Hereafter).’”  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً إِلاَّ تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَىْ أَجْرِهِمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَيُصِيبُونَ غَنِيمَةً إِلَّا تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَيْ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ وَيَبْقَى لَهُمُ الثُّلُثُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ  

‘Abd Allah bin Amr reported the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying “No warlike party will go out to fight in Allaah’s path and gain booty without getting beforehand two-thirds of their rewards in the next world and one-third (of their reward) will remain. And if they do not gain booty, they will get their rewards in full. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2497)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُصِيبُونَ غَنِيمَةً إِلَّا تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَيْ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ وَيَبْقَى لَهُمُ الثُّلُثُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ»  

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "No warrior fights in the cause of Allah and gains spoils of war except that they hastily distribute two-thirds of their rewards and keep one-third. If they do not gain any spoils of war, their reward will be granted to them."  

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ يُصِيبُونَ غَنِيمَةً إِلَّا تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَيْ أُجُورِهِمْ وَيَبْقَى الثُّلُثُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ»

"مَا مِن غازِيَة تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فيُصِيبُونَ الغَنِيمةَ إلا تعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَيْ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ، وَيَبْقَى لَهُم الثُّلثُ، فإِن لم يُصيبُوا غَنيمةً تَمَّ لَهُمَ أَجْرُهُمْ".
