The Messenger of Allah said: "May Allah have mercy upon those who shaved" saying it one or two times, then he said: "And those who shortened."  

الترمذي:٩١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ وَمَارِبَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَأَبِي مَرْيَمَ وَحُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَخْتَارُونَ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ وَإِنْ قَصَّرَ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ

Messenger of Allah (may peace'be upon him) observed once or twice:" May Allah have mercy upon those who get their heads shaved." And he also said:" Upon those too who got their hair clipped."

حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ  

ahmad:6005 – Hāshim > Layth > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

[Machine] He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ shaved his head and a group of his companions also shaved their heads, while some of them trimmed their hair." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on those who shave their heads once or twice, and may Allah have mercy on those who trim their hair."  

أحمد:٦٠٠٥ – حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَحِمَ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ  

nasai-kubra:4099 – Qutaybah b. Saʿīd > al-Layth > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ shaved his head and some of his companions also shaved their heads, while others trimmed their hair. Ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on those who shave once or twice, and may He have mercy on those who trim their hair."

حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى وَأَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَقَالَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ وَبِمَعْنَاهُ رَوَاهُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فِي إِحْدَى الرِّوَايَتَيْنِ عَنْهُ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ shaved his head, and a group of his companions also shaved theirs, while some of them merely shortened their hair. Ibn Umar said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'May Allah have mercy on those who shave their heads once or twice.' Then he said, 'And may Allah have mercy on those who only shorten their hair.'"  

البيهقي:٩٥٧٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ
