The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Al-Bara’ (b. ‘Azib) from the prophet (May peace be upon him) through a different chain of narrators is a similar way.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"That the Prophet ordered." And he mentioned similarly.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, and this is acted upon according to the people of knowledge. It is the view of Ash-Shafi'i and our companions.

] Some of the people of knowledge followed this Hadith and stated their view accordingly. This is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq. Some of the people of knowledge did not use this Hadith, among them are Ash-Shafi'i and Sa'eed bin Zaid the brother of Hammad bin Zaid. And Abu Labid's (a narrator) name is Limazah bin Zabbar.

"When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: 'Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked."

إِذَا أَصْبَحَ ابْنُ آدَمَ فَإِنَّ الأَعْضَاءَ كُلَّهَا تُكَفِّرُ اللِّسَانَ فَتَقُولُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ فِينَا فَإِنَّمَا نَحْنُ بِكَ فَإِنِ اسْتَقَمْتَ اسْتَقَمْنَا وَإِنِ اعْوَجَجْتَ اعْوَجَجْنَا

"I heard Ibrahim (narrate) from 'Alqamah and Al-Aswad from 'Abdullah," and he narrated something similar.

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "From Abu Sa'id"

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

[AI] "From Abu Sa'id"

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

[AI] "From Abu Dharr, towards him."

عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ نَحْوَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] About his father, so he mentioned the saying.

عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] About his father, so he mentioned him.

عَنِ أَبِيهِ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] About Abu Sa'id, he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] Anas mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ أَنَسٍ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From his father, something like it.

عَنْ أَبِيهِ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] About his father, so he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] About Aisha, he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "About his father, similar to it (or like it)."

عَنْ أَبِيهِ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] I asked Abu Darda about a man from the people of Egypt, and he mentioned something from the Prophet ﷺ and something similar to it.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَذَكَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From Abu Hurairah, he mentioned the Hadith in its form.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ

قَالَ تَجَشَّأْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
