Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ; Salat Ibrahimiyyah (الصلاة إبراهيمية); (Abu Masud Uqbah b. Amr)

muslim:405Yaḥyá b. Yaḥyá al-Tamīmī > Mālik > Nuʿaym b. ʿAbdullāh al-Mujmir > Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Zayd al-Anṣārī > Abū Masʿūd [ʿUqbah b. ʿAmr] al-Anṣārī

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us while we were in the gathering of Saad ibn Ubadah. Bashir ibn Saad said to him, “Allah ﷻ has commanded us to send salah upon you, O Messenger of Allah, so how should we send salah upon you?” He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent until we wished that he had not asked him.

Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Say: ‘O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent salah upon the family of Ibrahim; and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed the family of Ibrahim among all the worlds. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. And the salam is as you have already learned.’"

Dedicating your whole duʿāʾ for the ṣalāt on the Prophet ﷺ will alleviate worries and become a means of forgiveness

tirmidhi:2457Hannād > Qabīṣah > Sufyān > ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. ʿAqīl > al-Ṭufayl b. Ubay b. Kaʿb from his father

"When a third of the night had passed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and said: 'O you people! Remember Allah! Remember Allah! The Rajifah is coming, followed by the Radifah, death and what it brings is coming, death and what it brings is coming!'"

Ubay said that I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I send a lot of Ṣalāt upon you. How much of my Ṣalāt should I make for you?" He said, "As you wish." I said, "˹How about˺ a fourth?" He said, "As you wish, but if do more, it would be better for you." I said, "˹How about˺ one-half?" He said, "As you wish, but if you do more, it would be better for you." I said, "Then ˹how about˺ two-thirds?" He said, "As you wish, but if you do more, it would be better for you."

I said: "Should I make all of my ˹duʿāʾ as˺ Ṣalāt for you?" He said, "˹If you do this˺ it would be sufficient for your concerns and it would be forgiveness for your sins."

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan.
