الطبراني:٩٣٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ «أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ» §يَنْهَضُ عَلَى صُدُورِ قَدَمَيْهِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ

Ibn ʿUmar (while on a journey) used to offer the prayer and the witr on his mount (Rahila). He said that the Prophet ﷺ used to do so.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ  

bukhari:1096 – Mūsá > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Muslim > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Kān

On traveling, ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar used to offer the prayer on his Mount by signs whatever direction it took. ʿAbdullah said that the Prophet ﷺ used to do so.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ
