أَيْمَنُ بْنُ خُرَيْمِ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ

[Machine] My father and uncle were present at the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they made it a condition for me not to fight with anyone who testified that there is no god but Allah. So if you bring me a declaration of being free from the Hellfire, I will fight with you." The man said, "Go, we have no need for you." Then Ayyub said, "Whoever goes with this man, I will pay them their share of the war booty."  

الطبراني:٨٥٢حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبَانَ ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ يُقَاتِلُ الضَّحَّاكَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ فَقَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ أَيْمَنُ بْنُ خُرَيْمٍ أَلَا تُقَاتِلُ مَعَنَا؟ فَقَالَ

«لَا إِنَّ أَبِي وَعَمِّي شَهِدَا بَدْرًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَهِدَا إِلَيَّ أَنْ لَا أُقَاتِلَ أَحَدًا شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَإِنْ أَتَيْتَنِي بِبَرَاءَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ قَاتَلْتُ مَعَكَ» فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَلَا حَاجَةَ لَنَا فِيكَ فَقَالَ أَيْمَنُ «
