مُوسَى بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ الثُّمَالِيُّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ

tabarani:8258 – Aḥmad b. ʿAmr al-Ziʾbaqī al-Baṣrī > Muḥammad b. Miskīn al-Yamāmī > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. ʿAwf b. Ḥabbān from my father > Mūsá b. ʿUmayr > Qays b. Ṭalq from his father

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he forbade us from fasting a day before Ramadan until the crescent is sighted or the month's count is complete, and we are not to break our fast until it is sighted or the month's count is complete.  

الطبراني:٨٢٥٨ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الزِّئْبَقِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ «نَهَى أَنْ نتَقَدْمَ قَبْلَ رَمَضَانَ بِصَوْمِ يَوْمٍ حَتَّى يَرَوُا الْهِلَالَ أَوْ تَفِيَ الْعِدَّةُ ثُمَّ لَا نُفْطِرُ حَتَّى يَرَوْهُ أَوْ تَفِي الْعِدَّةُ»
