[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came from Khaibar with two boys, and he gifted one of them to Ali ibn Abi Talib and said, "Do not strike him, for I have been prohibited from striking those who pray, and I have seen him praying." He also gave a boy to Abu Dharr and said, "Take care of him with kindness." So he freed him. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "What did the boy whom I gave to you do?" Abu Dharr said, "You commanded me to take care of him with kindness, so I freed him."  

الطبراني:٨٠٥٧حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا أَبُو غَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَقْبَلَ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ وَمَعَهُ غُلَامَانِ فَوَهَبَ أَحَدَهُمَا لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَقَالَ «لَا تَضْرِبْهُ فَإِنِّي نُهِيتُ عَنْ ضَرْبِ أَهْلِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي» وَأَعْطَى أَبَا ذَرٍّ غُلَامًا وَقَالَ «اسْتَوْصِ بِهِ مَعْرُوفًا» فَأَعْتَقَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا فَعَلَ الْغُلَامُ الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتُكَ؟» قَالَ أَمَرْتَنِي أَنْ أَسْتَوْصِيَ بِهِ مَعْرُوفًا فَأَعْتَقْتُهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from Khaybar with two boys. Ali said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me serve them." He said, "Take whichever one you want." Ali chose Khir. He said, "Take this one and do not hit him, for I have seen him praying in front of us in Khaybar. I have forbidden striking those who pray." Abu Dharr gave the other boy to someone else and said, "Treat him well." Then he asked, "O Abu Dharr, what did the boy whom I gave you do?" Abu Dharr replied, "You ordered me to treat him well, so I freed him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَقْبَلَ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ وَمَعَهُ غُلَامَانِ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْدِمْنَا؟ فَقَالَ خُذْ أَيَّهُمَا شِئْتَ فَقَالَ خِرْ لِي قَالَ خُذْ هَذَا وَلَا تَضْرِبْهُ؛ فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي مَقْبَلَنَا مِنْ خَيْبَرَ؛ وَإِنِّي قَدْ نَهَيْتُ عَنْ ضَرْبِ أَهْلِ الصَّلَاةِ وَأَعْطَى أَبَا ذَرٍّ الْغُلَامَ الْآخَرَ فَقَالَ اسْتَوْصِ بِهِ خَيْرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا فَعَلَ الْغُلَامُ الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتُكَ؟ قَالَ أَمَرْتَنِي أَنْ أَسْتَوْصِيَ بِهِ خَيْرًا فَأَعْتَقْتُهُ
