[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah! Can I go out with you for battle?" Umm Salamah said. He replied, "O Umm Salamah, it is not required for women to engage in warfare." She responded, "But I will take care of the wounded, treat the sick, and provide water." He said, "Indeed, that would be excellent."  

الطبراني:٧٤٠حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَاجِبٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ الْمُؤَدِّبِ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْفَرَّاءُ ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ قَالَتْ

أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْرَجُ مَعَكَ إِلَى الْغَزْوِ؟ قَالَ «يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ الْجِهَادُ» قَالَتْ أُدَاوِي الْجَرْحَى وَأُعَالِجُ الْعَيْنَ وَأَسْقَى الْمَاءَ قَالَ «فَنَعَمْ إِذًا»
