tabarani:7055Samurah

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was approached by a man from the Ansar, seeking his advice regarding the practice of "khalalah." The man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is it permissible for a man to marry a woman who is a relative from his mother's or father's side?" The Prophet, ﷺ , did not respond to him except by reciting the verse about khalalah from Surah An-Nisa. The man continued asking him, and every time he asked, the Prophet, ﷺ , recited the verse to him, until the man became more persistent and agitated. The man's anxiety increased, as he eagerly hoped for a clear answer from the Prophet, ﷺ . Finally, the Prophet, ﷺ , recited the verse to him and said, "By Allah, I will not add anything to what I have given you. By Allah, I will not add anything to what I have given you." After that, the man sat down and remained silent.
