[Machine] I asked Matar Al-Warraq and said: Does a person recite "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" and seek refuge in Allah from Satan at the beginning of every Rak'ah (unit of prayer) and at the beginning of every Surah (chapter) he recites? Matar Al-Warraq said: Qatadah informed me on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sirin on the authority of Imran ibn Husayn and Samurah ibn Jundub from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, "These two are the silken ropes, he does this for himself when he commences the prayer and when he rises from the sitting position in the two Rak'ahs."
