[Machine] I said to the Prophet ﷺ , "I was born from the daughter of Jamd bin Wili'ah al-Kindi and I wished that we had a vessel of Tharid (a kind of food)." He responded, "Indeed, children are stingy, cowardly, and sorrowful."  

الطبراني:٦٤٧حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيُّ ﷺ وُلِدَ لِي مِنْ بِنْتِ جَمْدِ بْنِ وَلِيعَةَ الْكِنْدِيِّ وَدِدْتُ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا بِهِ قَصْعَةُ ثَرِيدٍ فَقَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّ الْأَوْلَادَ مَبْخَلَةٌ مَجْبَنَةٌ مَحْزَنَةٌ»
