[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my father used to maintain ties of kinship, entertain guests, and fulfill obligations. He passed away before embracing Islam." He replied, "Did he not find Islam?" I said, "No." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "It will be upon you to continue these good practices. They will never be disgraced or deprived."  

الطبراني:٦٢١٣حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ العَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ثنا نَعَامَةُ الْعَدَوِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَبِي كَانَ يَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ وَيَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ ويَفِي بِالذِّمَّةِ قَالَ «وَلَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْإِسْلَامَ؟» قَالَ لَا فَلَمَّا وَلَّيْتُ قَالَ «عَلَيَّ بِالشَّيْخِ» قَالَ «يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ فِي عَقِبِكَ فَلَنْ يَذِلُّوا أَبَدًا وَلَنْ يَفْقُرُوا أَبَدًا»

When I was about to leave, he said to me, "You will follow in his footsteps, and they will never be humiliated, disgraced, or deprived."  

الحاكم:٦٥٦٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ثَنَا أَبُو نَعَامَةَ الْعَدَوِيُّ عَمْرُو بْنُ عِيسَى ثَنَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي كَانَ يَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ وَيَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ وَيَفِي بِالذَّمَّةِ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْإِسْلَامَ فَهَلْ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ؟ قَالَ «لَا» فَلَمَّا وَلَّيْتُ قَالَ عَلَيَّ بِالشَّيْخِ فَقَالَ لِي «يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ فِي عَقِبِكَ فَلَنْ يَذِلُّوا أَبَدًا وَلَنْ يُخْزَوْا أَبَدًا وَلَنْ يَفْتَقِرُوا أَبَدًا»
