[Machine] When Saad bin Muadh was buried, and we were with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he began to say "Subhan Allah" and the people said it along with him for a long time. Then he said "Allahu Akbar" and the people said it along with him. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, why did you say 'Subhan Allah'?" He said, "Indeed, the grave of this righteous man was constricted, so Allah relieved him with His mercy."  

الطبراني:٥٣٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْجَمُوحِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

لَمَّا دُفِنَ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَبَّحَ فَسَبَّحَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ طَوِيلًا ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ فَكَبَّرَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِمَّ سَبَّحْتَ؟ قَالَ «لَقَدْ تَضَايَقَ عَلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ الصَّالِحِ قَبْرُهُ حَتَّى فَرَّجَهُ اللهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ»

لَمَّا دُفِنَ سَعْدٌ وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَبَّحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَبَّحَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ طَوِيلًا ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ فَكَبَّرَ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِمَّ سَبَّحْتَ؟ قَالَ لَقَدْ تَضَايَقَ عَلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ الصَّالِحِ قَبْرُهُ حَتَّى فَرَّجَهُ اللهُ عَنْهُ

[Machine] "We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day to Sa'd ibn Mu'adh when he passed away. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for him and he was placed in his grave and leveled, the Prophet ﷺ glorified Allah. So we glorified for a long time, then the Prophet ﷺ made takbir (said Allahu Akbar) and we also made takbir. It was said, 'O Messenger of Allah, why did you glorify and then make takbir?' He said, 'Indeed, the grave of this righteous servant became narrow for him until Allah expanded it for him.'"  

أحمد:١٤٨٧٣ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ثُمَّ الزُّرَقِيُّ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْجَمُوحِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا إِلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ قَالَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَوُضِعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَسُوِّيَ عَلَيْهِ سَبَّحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَبَّحْنَا طَوِيلًا ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ فَكَبَّرْنَا فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِمَ سَبَّحْتَ؟ ثُمَّ كَبَّرْتَ؟ قَالَ لَقَدْ تَضَايَقَ عَلَى هَذَا الْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحِ قَبْرُهُ حَتَّى فَرَّجَهُ اللهُ عَنْهُ
