[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and forbade us from something that was beneficial for us, but what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us was better for us than what he forbade us from. He said, "Whoever owns land or has a land to cultivate, let him give it to his brother or let him bestow it upon him." Shu'bah said, "Abdul-Malik used to combine the statements of Ta'us, Ata' and Mujahid." Shu'bah said, "It seems like the one who narrated it from Mujahid said, 'Shu'bah, the companion of the Hadith.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and advised us against something that was beneficial to us, but what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ advised us to do was better for us than what he advised us against. He said, "Whoever owns land, let him cultivate it, or let him leave it as it is, or let him give it as a gift." I mentioned this to Ta'us, and he considered Ibn Abbas to be the most knowledgeable among them. Ibn Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that it is better for whoever owns land to give it as a gift to his brother."
