tabarani:3647[Chain 1] Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥaḍramī > al-Ḥasan b. Yūsuf > Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah [Chain 2] Abū Ḥuṣayn al-Qāḍī > Yaḥyá al-Ḥimmānī > Sufyān > Ismāʿīl And Bayān > Qays

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting leaning against a cloak in the shade of the Kaaba. We faced severe hardship from the polytheists and they exerted their utmost effort against us, so I said, "Why don't you pray for us?" He replied, "Certainly, those before you would have their flesh and bones scraped off with iron combs, but that would not cause them to turn away from their religion."

[Machine] We complained to the Prophet ﷺ while he was leaning against his cloak in the shade of the Kaaba. We said, "Will you not support us? Will you not pray for us?" He said, "Those before you used to have a man taken and his flesh and bones would be combed with iron combs, yet that would not make him renounce his religion. By Allah, this matter will be completed such that a traveler from Sana'a to Hadramout will not fear except Allah or the wolf for his sheep. But you are impatient."

[Machine] We complained to the Prophet ﷺ while he was sitting in the shade of the Kaaba, leaning on his cloak, so we said, "Will you not seek revenge for us? Will you not pray for us?" He said, "There were people before you who had their flesh and bones scraped off with iron combs, but that did not make them abandon their religion. By Allah, this matter will be fulfilled until a traveler can go from Sana'a to Hadramaut without fearing anyone except Allah or a wolf for his sheep. But you are hasty."
