حَابِسُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ الْيَمَانِيُّ

[Machine] Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by on the day of Siffin, leaning on Al-Ashtar. Then, Habis, who was known to be a devout worshiper, also passed by. Al-Ashtar said, "O Commander of the Faithful, Habis is with them. By Allah, my last account of him was that he was a believer." Ali replied, "Today, he is indeed a believer."  

الطبراني:٣٥٦٣حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الْمَاجِشُونَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى الْأَشْتَرِ فَمَرَّ حَابِسٌ وَكَانَ حَابِسٌ مِنَ الْعِبَادِ فَقَالَ الْأَشْتَرُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَابِسٌ مَعَهُمْ عَهْدِي بِهِ وَاللهِ مُؤْمِنٌ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ «فَهُوَ الْيَوْمَ مُؤْمِنٌ»
