tabarani:21092ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz

[Machine] I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and he had a high fever. So, I said, "You, O Messenger of Allah, have a severe fever. If you supplicate to Allah, He will surely relieve you from it." He said, "The prophets have the most severe trials, then those who are closest to them." It is mentioned that there was a tent attached to a tree for him, and he would lie down under it while water was dripping onto his chest.  

الطبراني:٢١٠٩٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ قَالَتْ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقَدْ حُمَّ فَاشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ الْحُمَّى فَقُلْتُ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدِ اشْتَدَّتْ بِكَ الْحُمَّى فَلَوْ دَعَوْتَ اللهَ فَكَشَفَها عَنْكَ فَقَالَ «أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ بَلَاءً الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ» قَالَتْ وَقَدْ عُلِّقَ لَهُ سِقَاءٌ عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ وَاضْطَجَعَ تَحْتَهُ وَالْمَاءُ تَقْطُرُ عَلَى فُؤَادِهِ
