[Machine] Indeed, you all prefer me to a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , although they were more deserving of being close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I do not retain more knowledge than what I have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no trial between the creation of Adam and the establishment of the Hour greater than that of the Dajjal."  

الطبراني:١٨٧٤٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمُ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ أَنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

إِنَّكُمْ تُجَاوِزُونِي إِلَى رَهْطٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا كَانُوا بِأَلْزَمَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَا أَحْفَظَ مِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ وَقِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ فِتْنَةٌ أَعْظَمُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ»

We used to go to Imran b. Husain passing in front of Hisham b. 'Amir. He, one day, said: You pass by me (in order) to go to some persons, but (amongst the living persons) none remained in the company of Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than I and none knows more ahadith than I. I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour.  

مسلم:٢٩٤٦a – حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُخْتَارِ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ عَنْ رَهْطٍ مِنْهُمْ أَبُو الدَّهْمَاءِ وَأَبُو قَتَادَةَ قَالُوا كُنَّا نَمُرُّ عَلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ نَأْتِي عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ فَقَالَ

ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِنَّكُمْ لَتُجَاوِزُونِي إِلَى رِجَالٍ مَا كَانُوا بِأَحْضَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنِّي وَلاَ أَعْلَمَ بِحَدِيثِهِ مِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ خَلْقٌ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ

هِشَامُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ لِجِيرَانِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَخُطُّونَ إِلَى رِجَالٍ مَا كَانُوا بِأَحْضَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَا أَوْعَى لِحَدِيثِهِ مِنِّي وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ أَمْرٌ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ

[Machine] Indeed, you surpass the companions of the Prophet ﷺ in memorizing and preserving his traditions more than they did. And I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no greater matter from the time of Adam until the Day of Judgment than the matter of the Dajjal."  

أحمد:١٦٢٦٧ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّهْمَاءِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

[Machine] Hisham, indeed these (people) pass (or surpass) (in virtue) to a man whom we used to see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more often than him and I (also) memorize it. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is no trial greater in the sight of Allah, from the time of Adam's creation until the Day of Judgment, than the trial of the Dajjal."  

الحاكم:٨٦١٠ – أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا ثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَمُرُّونَ عَلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ وَيَأْتُونَ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ فَقَالَ

هِشَامٌ إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ يِجْتَازُونَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ قَدْ كُنَّا أَكْثَرَ مُشَاهَدَةً لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْهُ وَأَحْفَظَ عَنْهُ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ فِتْنَةٌ أَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ»
