[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was talking to his companions, he said to them, "A group of riders will come to you from this direction, and they are the best people of the East." Then Umar ibn al-Khattab stood up and headed in that direction, where he met thirteen riders. He greeted them, approached them, and asked, "Who are you?" They said, "We are a group from the tribe of Abd al-Qays." Umar asked them, "What brought you to this land? Is it trade?" They answered, "No." Umar asked, "Then are you selling your swords?" They replied, "No." He asked, "Perhaps you have come in search of this man?" They said, "Yes." Umar went back and informed them about the Prophet, and the people left their belongings and rushed to the Prophet. They took his hand, kissed it, and sat around him. Ashajj, the youngest among them, took care of their camels, watered them, and collected the belongings of the people. Then he came walking with his camels and baggage until he reached the Prophet. He held the Prophet's hand, kissed it, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, are there two qualities that Allah and His Messenger love?" The Prophet asked, "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" Ashajj said, "Humbleness and walking with determination." Ashajj asked, "O Messenger of Allah, was I born with these qualities or did I acquire them?" The Prophet said, "No, you were born with them." Ashajj said, "Alhamdulillah (All praises be to Allah), who has created me with what Allah and His Messenger love." The people arrived with dates for themselves, and the Prophet started telling them about each date, calling them by specific names. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we do not know the names of the dates as you do." The Prophet said, "Indeed." Then they asked one of them, "Give us some of the leftover bows that you have." So he brought them some dates, and the Prophet said, "These dates are from the best of your dates; they are a medicine with no ailment."
