[Machine] I heard Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'di Karib, a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying: "Most people say that the Qiyamah (Day of Judgment) will occur after one hundred years, meaning after one hundred centuries. Al-Miqdam said: "You have exaggerated, Allah is not incapable of delaying this Ummah (nation) for half a day," meaning five hundred years.
سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ صَاحِبَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ يَقُولُونَ الْقَضَاءُ فِي مِائَةِ عَامٍ يَعْنُونَ بَعْدَ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ تَكُونُ الْقِيَامَةُ فَقَالَ الْمِقْدَامُ «قَدْ أَكْثَرْتُمْ لَنْ يَعْجَزَ اللهُ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ نِصْفَ يَوْمٍ» يَعْنِي خَمْسَمِائَةِ عَامٍ
