[Machine] From Jundub ibn Abdullah Al-Azdi, a companion of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "I and he (referring to the Prophet ﷺ) set out towards Basra until we reached a place called Bayt al-Miskeen, which is similar to Thawiyah from Kufa. He asked me, 'Have you been teaching anyone the Qur'an?' I replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'When we reach Basra, bring them to me.' So I came to him with Salih ibn Musarrih, Abi Bilal, Najdah, and Nafi' ibn Al-Azraq, who were among the elite of the people of Basra in my opinion at that time. He started narrating to me about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Jundub said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The example of a scholar who teaches people good but forgets himself is like a lamp that gives light to people and burns itself.'"
